Snail on the Road: August 2006
http://snail-on-the-road.blogspot.com/2006_08_01_archive.html
Snail on the Road. Tuesday, August 29, 2006. There is a very peculiar habit in my life: once a year I get up very early to see the sun rise on the highest mountain of the Rhön:. Oh well, I am not crazy, for I meet up with 4 friends, so I am not the only one. This meeing is already a well loved tradition, we met for the 6th time this year. But this year was the first year that actually didn't get to see the sun - FOG as thick as cotton! But the sun was rising exactly at 6.14 am or so the newspaper said.

Snail on the Road: February 2007
http://snail-on-the-road.blogspot.com/2007_02_01_archive.html
Snail on the Road. Friday, February 09, 2007. Well, after a few sleepless nights I made my decission: RMS. So there was only one reasonable option: RMS. Does anyone remember which flat is Nr. 3 in the Prep.Dept? This is the one I am going to get. I know, I had a flat in there for half a year, but please don't ask me what number it had. I hope all of those who said they would visit, will really do so. I might be able to "smuggle" some of them into my flat, so they don't have to pay for accomodation! Exam ...

Snail on the Road: April 2007
http://snail-on-the-road.blogspot.com/2007_04_01_archive.html
Snail on the Road. Friday, April 27, 2007. Oh the joy of teaching. Right, I am to work in the following departments. Prep Dept. (Primary School and Kindergarden). I am sure some of you remember Leslie Adams from the English department? Well, I have one of her year 7 groups and the first thing she asked me was: "How is your Shakespeare? I also teach Grammar once a week. So, lot of teaching practice. Vanessa is in town anyway for an internship and so we decided to meet in London. I am sure it will be a...

Snail on the Road: December 2006
http://snail-on-the-road.blogspot.com/2006_12_01_archive.html
Snail on the Road. Tuesday, December 26, 2006. I don't wish you to receive a lot of gifts. I wish you only that, what the most not have. I wish you time for joy and and laughing. I wish you time for all your doings and thoughts,. Not only for yourself but also to give away. I wish you time, not for hurrying and running,. But time for contentedness. I wish you time not just so. I wish you can save it,. For astonishment and for trust,. Instead of looking for the time, looking for the clock. We thought it w...

Snail on the Road: November 2006
http://snail-on-the-road.blogspot.com/2006_11_01_archive.html
Snail on the Road. Sunday, November 26, 2006. The first week after exams was just great - parties, cocktails and just spending time with friends and family of course. The others were in the same good mood as I was and therefore we enjoyed every single minute. I visited my brother in Stuttgart and helped with their new house again. It was good to spend a few days away from Bamberg - away from books, computers and everything related to exams. Posted by Nadja @ 9:30 pm. Monday, November 20, 2006. I will hav...

Snail on the Road: January 2007
http://snail-on-the-road.blogspot.com/2007_01_01_archive.html
Snail on the Road. Saturday, January 13, 2007. The last few days I have done some heavy thinking and I have not come to a conclusion yet. My current state might be best described as "dizzy" or something the like. As most of you might know, I am planning to go abroad again in April or May for another 3 months. Therefore I applied to various schools throughout the world - yes, throughout the world. Now I have two definite offers and both are tempting, even though in very different ways. You know that feeli...

Snail on the Road: October 2006
http://snail-on-the-road.blogspot.com/2006_10_01_archive.html
Snail on the Road. Tuesday, October 31, 2006. As you might know, today is SAMHAIN (spoken saoin) - or let's say Halloween for those who do not speak Gaelic! In Germany we do not really celebrate Samhain, as it has no tradition here, even though you can now also see pumpkins everywhere and people start decorating everything like in America. I find that a bit rediculous, as it has nothing to do with the original and is now only a huge "merchandising thing". Tir na n-Óg = Land of Youth). The Otherworld.
