About – NOLAN LIEBERT
https://nolanliebert.wordpress.com/about
Nolan Liebert hails from the Black Hills where he lives with his wife and children. His proximity to the Sanford Underground Research Facility feeds his obsession with dark matter, as his farmboy roots fed his obsession with herbs and alchemy. His literary experiments appear or are forthcoming in. An Alphabet of Embers. You can find him editing. Spending time with my family. Design (minimalist, typographic). Or use the form below. Continuing to catch up. My Poetry Process: Part 4.
I’m Back in Business | Alyssa Pierce
https://alyssapierce.com/2015/03/13/im-back-in-business
Writer, Children's Author, Social Media Consultant. I’m Back in Business. March 13, 2015. It doesn’t matter how much one writes or publishes: the excitement of an acceptance letter never diminishes. I realized that last week after learning that one of my poems was accepted by an online journal. I’ve been trying to find a home for this poem, entitled “Graveside Wedding,” since I finished its last revision back in August. 8221; By wrong, I just mean a wrong place for that particular poem or story. Address ...
My Poetry Process: Part 2 – NOLAN LIEBERT
https://nolanliebert.wordpress.com/2015/09/20/my-poetry-process-part-2
My Poetry Process: Part 2. We began a poem based on personal experience and “The Stars Are Projectors” by Modest Mouse. To refresh, here’s what we had:. The moon before, on summer nights when the day’s water was on our skin, sweat, blue, like it wasn’t real, and it wasn’t real, it was just a ghost light shining through your sundress, and you were just a shadow in a memory that has only become gilded with time, a fine sand slipping over our history like ice. You can take Greenland. This initial change is ...
My Poetry Process: Part 1 – NOLAN LIEBERT
https://nolanliebert.wordpress.com/2015/09/13/my-poetry-process-part-1
My Poetry Process: Part 1. The poems I’m currently working on are inspired by the music I listened to growing up: classical music featured in cartoons, the Country music of my mother, the Oldies of my father, and the music I came to love on my own. This poem is inspired by “The Stars Are Projectors”. From the Modest Mouse album. The Moon and Antarctica. And the moon again, big in the late winter sky, white like the snow, like the frost creeping along eyelashes, like a surrender, but we were on the ground...
My Poetry Process: Part 4 – NOLAN LIEBERT
https://nolanliebert.wordpress.com/2015/10/03/my-poetry-process-part-4
My Poetry Process: Part 4. We’ve come a long way in four weeks. When we started. All I had was a general idea about a poem inspired by “The Stars are Projectors” by Modest Mouse. This was followed. By research and an initial revision. Most recently, I transformed the poem into a short-lined, syllabic piece, but was left with inconsistencies I was unhappy with. So, let’s look at what we were left with last week:. The moon before,. When the day’s blue. Sweat soaked our skin,. Water, like it wasn’t. For now...
In Anticipation: 2016 – NOLAN LIEBERT
https://nolanliebert.wordpress.com/2015/12/21/in-anticipation-2016
2016 is still in the future. It is a prospect. A dream. One of many possibilities. I like the optimism and hope that holds hands with new things – it is untarnished, it hasn’t yet learned how to be jaded or world-weary. This is where I’m supposed to make resolutions and such, but I don’t really have resolutions, and I tend to think labeling them in such a way sets us up for failure. I have plans and goals and ideas, and I’d like to share a few, so the internet can hold me accountable. At some point, I th...

Unbroken Joy
Monday, February 17, 2014. I am thankful for google's blog service for the past 3 years. Their free service has enabled me to sample the joys of blogging without incurring the cost of website development or in my case the time investment to learn how to develop a website. With that said I am proud to say that my blog location has been moved from unbrokenjoy.blogspot.com to simply unbrokenjoy.com. In service of the King,. Wednesday, February 12, 2014. Joy in comfort while on the battle field. Monday, Nove...
Unbroken Joy
Joy in the Sweet Life. April 15, 2015. Its been a while since my last post. I’m not sure whether this shows a blatant lack of discipline or the state of this wild season of life known as 2014. In no way can I even recap the lessons learned and events in a simple post. What I can say is this, life is sweet. When it all comes down to the most important stuff, God always reminds me that I’ve got the best stuff of life in spades. How sweet it is to be unbroken. Joy in the Quiet Immensity of the Kingdom.
