Friday, June 15, 2012. I had a really great conversation with someone in my family last night, and it prompted me to clarify something. This may get a bit deep, but I'll try to be as clear as I can. It's also long, so proceed at your own risk. So do we believe in one God or three gods? A Muslim would insist that we believe in three Gods, and if we equate the words "God" and "Allah" (and I would), then to an Muslim now we're engaging in idolatry. Explain it any way you want, and the result is the same.
