Cranach Dress - Complete - Dress Diaries
http://dressdiaries.livejournal.com/584000.html
One stitch at a time! Cranach Dress - Complete. I've been working on an early 16th century southern German (Saxony) noblewoman's dress for about three years and finally, FINALLY, finished it so ta da! You can see the full Flickr album of way too many photos: here. R-you-call-it as a separate piece and had a rectangle of linen on my back it was tied to (it seemed to just fit better that way; just tied it tended to bunch up and pins were annoying me. Is this correct? I love how the feathers look on the hat.

In search of SLEEP. Best Menopause (PMS) Question Ever. Jul 30th, 2009 at 10:18 AM. How many women with MENOPAUSE (PMS) does it take to change a. And do you know WHY? Because no one else in this house knows HOW to change a. They don't even know that the bulb is BURNED OUT! They would sit in the dark for THREE DAYS before they figured it out. And,once they figured it out, they wouldn't be able to find the #&%! Lightbulbs despite the fact that they've been in the SAME CABINET for the past 17 YEARS! About a...

Underdress for the English Burgundian - Stuff & Fustian
http://sbuchler.livejournal.com/189288.html
Or Sunnys Adventures in Costuming. Underdress for the English Burgundian. May 28th, 2011 at 10:52 PM. Based on the test pictures. I did comparing the curved-front GFD to the straight-front GFD when worn under a Burgundian, I decided to make the underdress for my English Burgundian with a curved front - multiple etchings have the double arches over the bosom and I get that with the curved front dress but not the straight front version. Burgundian over straight front GFD. Burgundian over curved front GFD.

Or Sunnys Adventures in Costuming. St Elizabeth of Thuringia Gown Part 1: The Body. Nov 19th, 2013 at 6:30 PM. Despite there being a cutting diagram of the St. Elizabeth of Thuringia Gown, actually figuring out the pattern for the body of the dress turned out to be much more complicated then I expected, despite its deceptively simple lines:. Image from Marc Carlsons website, Some Clothing of the Middle Ages, The Gown of St. Elizabeth of Thuringia. So, heres where I had to start getting creative :-).

Or Sunnys Adventures in Costuming. Thirteenth Century Gowns - Starting the Investigation. Nov 16th, 2013 at 1:36 PM. Ive slowly been working on 13th century styles - initially to experiment with different ways to cut the Maciejowski womens dresses (France, circa 1250) since my normal way of cutting a T-tunic (basically what Robin Netherton describes in her Tournaments Illuminated. Winter 2002 article Where Did the Normans Get Their Sleeves? Right: my standard T-tunic, belted. Someday I will make a proper...

One Stitch At A Time. Nov 15th, 2014 at 7:22 PM. Work continues on the hex quilt. Once I get a progress pic I’ll post this entry to the journal. I finished the hand sewing on the center section of the hex quilt and I am really quite pleased. This really is a me type quilt and I am very happy with it so far. And hey! I am using up the scraps in the stash. 2 comments Leave a comment. Nov 17th, 2014 05:38 am (UTC). Nov 17th, 2014 12:40 pm (UTC). 2 comments Leave a comment. Another LJ Quilting Community.

08:29 pm June 4th, 2013. Ahh getting ready to cut my first ever piece of silk satin. I'm rarely afraid of fabrics but this is one of them! I'm only making a hat but still, it's such expensive fabric I'm terrified to waste it. I could really use a costuming buddy here to hold my hand while I cut. Okay deep breaths - wish me luck. Thread started by Aubry. June 5th, 2013 12:38 am (UTC). You can do it! Show that fabric who's boss! June 7th, 2013 12:32 pm (UTC). Thread started by unclrashid. Tag - you're it!
