I would love to have a circular smartphone. It would work with the dislike of rectangles that I espouse in this blog very well! Http:/ www.cnn.com/2015/03/12/tech/mci-runcible-smartphone/index.html. What would your world look like if you removed the rectangles from it and replaced them with circles? By Kyle Vanhemert, WIRED.

The day the tooth came in | Tales of Thomas and James
https://talesofthomasblog.wordpress.com/2014/06/21/the-day-the-tooth-came-in
Tales of Thomas and James. Two little guys, one busy mom. The day the tooth came in. June 21, 2014. A few weeks earlier than his big bro, today at lunch is the first time I felt a little chunk of tooth in that beautifully swelled gum. Probably a bit of both. And so the snuggles will continue until he’s doing a little better with his sleep. As for the getting around… he’s doing amazing on his tummy. Pushes himself backwards and works so hard to get a toy that’s out of reach. Prob...It’s the most fru...

A few milestones worth sharing | Tales of Thomas and James
https://talesofthomasblog.wordpress.com/2014/07/23/a-few-milestones-worth-sharing
Tales of Thomas and James. Two little guys, one busy mom. A few milestones worth sharing. July 23, 2014. James has officially reached my favourite milestone… sitting. It’s been a few weeks now since this little guy has enjoyed the comfort of sitting (while assisted), but in recent days he’s been doing amazing sitting without any support. There’s been a few other firsts that deserve a little sharing…. That did the trick. At almost 8 months, he’s finally given me a full night’s sleep. We also made the deci...

Six months of brotherly love | Tales of Thomas and James
https://talesofthomasblog.wordpress.com/2014/06/03/six-months-of-brotherly-love
Tales of Thomas and James. Two little guys, one busy mom. Six months of brotherly love. June 3, 2014. James has been growing up so quickly these days. He’s rolling onto his belly but still doesn’t know how to roll back, he loves to eat everything although I’m suspecting an intolerance to zucchini of all things! I’m also hesitant to put this thought on paper since just a few months ago I was satisfied with my two. Only two. No more. Only time will tell. At the races with daddy. Four months of James. Follo...

Making a life as a round peg avoiding square holes. How the blog got started. Newer posts →. Foster parenting is complicated. Sometimes I just don’t know what to do. When a child’s behavior is unacceptable… do I allow natural consequences to happen? Do I assign a punishment for the behavior? Do I write it down to address with the counselor because the behavior is based in past trauma? Do I let it pass without comment because in the larger scheme of things it not something I choose to address right now?

Making a life as a round peg avoiding square holes. How the blog got started. I have a new favorite movie: Boxtrolls! It has everything – cute characters, awesome scenery, witty dialogue, good music, good lessons that aren’t preachy, and a happy ending. And cheese – lots of cheese! The after-credit scene is awesome. I took our 3 year old to see Boxtrolls four times, and even got my husband to join us for one of them. It even inspired my 3 year old’s favorite costume:. Yep, she’s a Boxtroll.🙂. She didn&#...
