At the dedication of the Duquesne Tunnel yesterday some significant additional steps were announced to close the gaps in the GAP. From the Pittsburgh Post Gazette;. Allegheny County Executive Dan Onorato also announced an agreement with Norfolk Southern Railway that will clear the way for completion of another 2.5 miles by next summer, from Duquesne to the Waterfront shopping complex. On a ride from Deal to Rockwood I was pleased to find that the new deck overlooking the river and Rockwood was finished. It's beautifully done and commands a fine view of the town.
