The Misadventures of the Accidental Knitter: 01.08
http://accidentalknitter.blogspot.com/2008_01_01_archive.html
The Misadventures of the Accidental Knitter. Or, My Journey to Knitting Nirvana. Very short post today - I'm still fighting the ick. That Baby A.K. doled out last week - I think it's a sinus infection. But the real reason for the short post is that I'm packing for a trip to NJ - sadly, to attend a funeral. I'll be back Friday or Saturday, but in case you need a good blog-y fix, try this one. It's all in the family, after all. Sock yarn. This colorway is #18 - vulkan. See ya in a few days. I Need A Hat.

Painted Spring Farm Alpaca Blog: March 2010
http://paintedspring.blogspot.com/2010_03_01_archive.html
Monday, March 8, 2010. And asked her if I could come help process my fiber. She graciously agreed to let me come and process my fiber into roving. As soon as I arrived, I was greeted by Cheddar her mill assistant. Here in the photo, Cheddar is taking her morning/afternoon nap. After the colors were picked, we took a break for lunch and I went outside and was greeted by Ollie. I was kind of surprised when this adorable little sheep came right up to me. Spending the day with Lydia makes me appreciate her a...

Painted Spring Farm Alpaca Blog: Spring at last!
http://paintedspring.blogspot.com/2011/04/spring-at-last.html
Friday, April 22, 2011. Here we are in mid April and even though we've had a few spring teasers, it still feels like winter most days - that would be the days it's not raining cats and dogs. Around the farm, mud is a spring thing that just can't be avoided, but this year it's beyond what anyone should have to endure. Spring is a busy time in so many ways. Bebe checking out the chicken house - for the last time. Soon, we will be having our spring crias as well. Last spring the breedings were spread ou...

Painted Spring Farm Alpaca Blog: October 2010
http://paintedspring.blogspot.com/2010_10_01_archive.html
Tuesday, October 19, 2010. The Babies are here, the Babies are here! A few hours later, we were done setting up our booth and sitting down to a nice warm dinner and he called and asked if I had checked for the pictures. I looked and this is what I received. I couldn't believe that he couldn't tell the difference between black and brown with white spots! Then I saw that I had another email with a picture. It was the little brown girl. So what in the world was this little black bundle? Check back in the ne...

Wednesday, March 9, 2011. Ready, Set, SHOW! This weekend we are gearing up for our first show of the season, The VA Classic. In Charlottesville, VA. This is a fun show, not only are there alpacas, but also llamas. It’s interesting to see how the cousins to the alpacas are shown, the interesting costumes they wear and how they can pull a cart. Virginia is only the first of the spring shows. Next comes the grand-daddy of all alpaca shows, MAPACA. In it’s 15. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom).

Knitty Ripper: May 2009
http://knittyripper.blogspot.com/2009_05_01_archive.html
I'm certain I have some sort of knitting mania. Wednesday, May 20, 2009. I restarted the Hedera socks on my swanky new Signature needles, and they are awesome. I haven't had much time to work on them, but the needles really are great. I've been working on a little shrug with Patons Brilliant:. It's the Vine Lace Shrug. Rav link), and it's the first actual project in which I'm doing the backwards-knitting thing. So far it's working out! My least-ignored project is probably this:. Saturday, May 2, 2009.

The Happy Needle Notebook: May 2010
http://happyneedlenotebook.blogspot.com/2010_05_01_archive.html
Find me here: ravelry. Tuesday, May 11, 2010. So life throws you curves. We all know that. But some of us have more balls hurled at them from unseen directions then others. My life is like that. As you may have guess by now, the Florida trip that I was so anxiously planning for did not happen. Sad. The why it didn't happen is *almost* funny now, in retrospect. Almost. I helped out my friends who own Uncommon Threads. At their booth at Maryland Sheep and Wool. I just checked - over 14 miles. Crazy! Happil...
