Sunday, February 5, 2012. My fiancee is making delicious chili. Football will be on television. The evening will be spectacular. NEW YORK ( 3):. The least discussed storyline, though perhaps among the most compelling in my mind is that despite the accomplishments, status, fame, and historical imagery associated with these two quarterbacks, both are, unmistakably, lucky. To be in Indianapolis rather than on their couches. Of course, the qualms are inevitable. The Giants, having played well all season long...

Saturday, January 7, 2012. Picks, Wildcard Saturday. Well, it's playoff time.time for Tim Tebow's cult of personality to either disappear or rival the late Kim Jong Il, time for the Texans and Bengals to see whose rookie quarterback soils the bed the least, time for Brees, Rodgers, and Brady to continue to break records, and time for Roethlisberger to attempt to reach his fourth superbowl. 8221;)…but I digress. With Andre Johnson and two. Houston 20, Cincinnati 13. NEW ORLEANS (-10.5):. Bill Simmons play...

Picks: Picks, Wildcard Sunday
http://picks.unconventionalinsight.com/2012/01/picks-wildcard-sunday.html
Sunday, January 8, 2012. Picks, Wildcard Sunday. Two favorites covered yesterday, why not today? This game bothers me considerably, given the Giants’ penchant for playing poorly when favored, the letdown factor following their dismantling of the Cowboys season. And Eli’s occasional stinker for which we may be due. However, the Falcons have not beaten a single playoff team this season and derive a considerable advantage of playing in their dome. Not thrilled about this pick, though. New York 28, Atlanta 24.

Picks: October 2011

Sunday, October 30, 2011. Picks, Week 8. Week 8 - Where my Eagles will undoubtedly give me a heart attack, and my fantasy teams will attempt to claw their way back to the middle of the pack. This is a team that deserves its 0-6 record. However, I cannot fathom laying nine points with a team that just lost by 34 at home. That said, I have done the unthinkable in a fantasy league last week and traded for. Tennessee 20, Indianapolis 17. New Orleans (-13.5):. New Orleans 34, St. Louis 16. Arizona ( 12.5):.

Picks: December 2011

Saturday, December 24, 2011. Picks, Week 16. Week 16, where remarkably, the Eagles are not mathematically eliminated, and both of my fantasy football teams have unceremoniously shuffled off into the consolation brackets. Houston 20, Indianapolis 17. Tim Tebow crashed to earth last week, finally losing a game to a superior quarterback on a superior team. That said, he didn’t exactly play poorly. The Bills, on the other hand, are in a state of free fall. Denver 20, Buffalo 17. Arizona ( 4.5):. The Titans, ...

Picks: November 2011
http://picks.unconventionalinsight.com/2011_11_01_archive.html
Sunday, November 27, 2011. Picks, Week 12. Week 12, where one of my fantasy teams plays dead-man-walking, and the other continues its clawing ascent into relevance. As for my Eagles, Tom Brady and company are coming to town.and I tend to think Cinderella is soon to become the pumpkin I presume them to be. If this game were not a Thanksgiving game, the spread would be a couple points higher. Though the Lions are legitimate opposition, this is a team that just allowed 35 points to the Panthers. I am willin...

Picks: Conference Championship Picks
http://picks.unconventionalinsight.com/2012/01/conference-championship-picks.html
Sunday, January 22, 2012. It's the best day of football of the year. Definitely found this line more palatable when the Ravens were receiving 9 points rather than a touchdown, and was strongly considering taking the Patriots given the game’s locations and Tom Brady being, well, Tom Brady. Then I realized the following:. The Patriots have played, including last week, four games this season against teams that qualified for the playoffs. The two wins are against Tebow’s Broncos. Baltimore 24, New England 23.

Picks: Picks, Divisional Saturday

Saturday, January 14, 2012. Picks, Divisional Saturday. It's the most wonderful time of the year.Unfortunately, I am missing my little cousin's Bat Mitzvah in Pittsburgh due to poorly-timed Midwestern snowstorms. My only consolation is the football that I will be able to watch. Quarter drive for a score. That will be enough to cover. New Orleans 27, San Francisco 23. Stare down the faster kid and then lob one up? New England 38, Denver 20. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). Picks, Divisional Sunday.
