Reflections of a seeker: August 2011
http://fendrri.blogspot.com/2011_08_01_archive.html
Reflections of a seeker. Whatever is on my mind. Wednesday, August 31, 2011. Why am I here? What am I supposed to do? What’s the point in life if we’ll eventually die in the end? Do we use our power to benefit people? Do we learn things to be able to help others? If what we do only corresponds towards fulfilling our desires rather that for doing good deeds for God’s sake, we really need to reconsider what we are doing. Everything that exists will perish, without exception, including all the efforts IF we...

Reflections of a seeker: Insulting other people’s deities / gods
http://fendrri.blogspot.com/2012/08/insulting-other-peoples-deities-gods.html
Reflections of a seeker. Whatever is on my mind. Friday, August 03, 2012. Insulting other people’s deities / gods. As human beings, we will always differ amongst ourselves, from small things to the big, likewise. This is true, including when it comes to what we believe in. All of us have a degree of certainty in what we believe in, based on what we know and understand, despite it having the possibility of being right or wrong. We are strictly ordered to not insult or mock what other people deem as sacred...

Reflections of a seeker: November 2012

Reflections of a seeker. Whatever is on my mind. Thursday, November 08, 2012. Installing DOCK 6.1 on mint linux. For people who are new to the UNIX system, installing programs manually can be a daunting task. This was indeed the case for me anyway. I needed to install some molecular modeling softwares such as GROMACS and DOCK from UCSF, and I had a hard time doing so. Tar -zxvf dock.6.1 source.tar.gz. Export http proxy=http:/ proxy.campus.net:8080. Apt-get install build-essential flex bison gfortran.

Reflections of a seeker: December 2012
http://fendrri.blogspot.com/2012_12_01_archive.html
Reflections of a seeker. Whatever is on my mind. Friday, December 28, 2012. The celebration of a mother’s mercy. So it has been 32 years since God brought me into this world through my beautiful mother. I only remember bits and pieces of what happened before today, but among the strongest memories that stay with me is the mercy and love of my parents. But anyway, as with any birthday, the credit and congratulation should go to the one who deserves it the most, which in this case is the mother. Subscribe ...

Reflections of a seeker: September 2011
http://fendrri.blogspot.com/2011_09_01_archive.html
Reflections of a seeker. Whatever is on my mind. Thursday, September 15, 2011. The awesomeness of ourselves. When we think deep about everything in this temporary world, we would almost always be amazed by the processes that they undergo. Whether it is the water cycle, the biosynthesis of compounds in plants, the gene expression process, or whatever there is to observe, are super complex mechanisms that would probably take forever for us to fully understand. There is something in common with many of the ...

Reflections of a seeker: The blessed at our doorsteps (song)
http://fendrri.blogspot.com/2012/07/the-blessed-at-our-doorsteps-song.html
Reflections of a seeker. Whatever is on my mind. Monday, July 30, 2012. The blessed at our doorsteps (song). I have posted this as a poem in a previous post, but this time I have made it into a short song. I hope it can be enjoyed. The blessed at our doorsteps. You have come you have come, o honorable guest. To wash our sins away. You have come you have come, as a blessing and a test. To reach for His love we may. You prevent us from our evil, and shine bright the good that we have. In our hearts forever.

Reflections of a seeker: May 2012

Reflections of a seeker. Whatever is on my mind. Monday, May 28, 2012. A better way to repel Lady Gaga and co. Lately, there has been a buzz on the banning of Lady Gaga from holding a concert in Indonesia. Spearheaded by a group who call themselves “the Islamic Protector Front” (FPI) who threatened the concert if it was to be held, the organizers succumbed and canceled. There is no victory in this banning. So for Muslims, all of us need to rethink what we believe, get better education on our religion, an...

Reflections of a seeker: They would indeed shed blood
http://fendrri.blogspot.com/2013/07/they-would-indeed-shed-blood.html
Reflections of a seeker. Whatever is on my mind. Thursday, July 11, 2013. They would indeed shed blood. It can be really depressing witnessing the bloodshed that is currently happening. The killings in Myanmar, Syria, Palestine, Iraq, and most recently in Egypt are all examples of how evil and morally bankrupt can human beings become. Why are these things happening? Why did God create them? Going back to the oppressions that we see in our times. We condemn them. That’s the least we can do&#...A slave of ...

Reflections of a seeker: Adding PATH of directory in mint linux
http://fendrri.blogspot.com/2012/11/adding-path-of-directory-in-mint-linux.html
Reflections of a seeker. Whatever is on my mind. Monday, November 05, 2012. Adding PATH of directory in mint linux. I spent several hours trying to figure this out. There are so many resources in the internet that it is often difficult to get what we really need. I am writing it down here in case I forget again one day (or if anybody is experiencing the same problem). Logged out, logged back in, and I was able to execute all the files within my target directory. Nothing fancy, but it worked out for me.
