Vake and Gil Martin: December 2013
http://reynoldvake.blogspot.com/2013_12_01_archive.html
Vake and Gil Martin. Sunday, December 29, 2013. My perfect sweet two year old. It's unbelievable to think where we were two years ago, this little one and me. Wow! Gil had such a dramatic entry into this world, but that dramatic entry is laughably inconsistent with his personality- he continues to be the most laid back, fun, and funny little human I've ever known. He's so different from vake and so much to me like his father in terms of personality. And big brother thought it was pretty yummy too! Giving...

Vake and Gil Martin: August 2013
http://reynoldvake.blogspot.com/2013_08_01_archive.html
Vake and Gil Martin. Saturday, August 31, 2013. The new house from Vakes perspective. So Vake and I spent a lot of quality time on Friday hanging out while Gil slept in the pack and play. (On a side note, I ventured out to Wal-mart here, one of the about 4 big stores here in town to buy said pack and play. Lets just say I found the experience totally overwhelming.). Looking down the street. Our next door neighbor's house. A bush in our front yard. We are going to try to go to church tomorrow morning....

Tales of a Traveling Texan: Terrorism in Erbil
http://talesofatravelingtexan.blogspot.com/2013/10/terrorism-in-erbil.html
Tuesday, October 1, 2013. Before I came to Kurdistan everyone was really worried about me. Frankly, I was a little worried as well. But then I came here and I met a lot of wonderful people, both expat and local, who helped me get used to it and realize that it's actually a really wonderful place full of opportunities. Kurdistan is not a bad place. It's not a perfect place either, but seriously, where is? It's only natural, and I suppose that's kind of the point of terrorism, eh? I did as I was told. ...

Tales of a Traveling Texan: November 2012
http://talesofatravelingtexan.blogspot.com/2012_11_01_archive.html
Tuesday, November 13, 2012. A Piece of Rural Iraq. When I was heading over here a lot of people kept telling me they thought I was crazy. While most of those people were talking about the cultural differences I would experience, a few thought I was nutters because they assumed I was moving to the middle of the desert and would probably mark my address in relation to which sand dunes I was stuck between. Fact: Not all of Iraq is a desert. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). The Voice Behind the Tales.

Vake and Gil Martin. Saturday, June 14, 2014. Last day of school and graduation. What a difference 9 months makes. We finished up the school year yesterday- I am going to find a picture of the first day of school, too, and post it for comparison's sake. We have had such a great school year and are now looking ahead to kindergarten! Singing the graduation songs. Posted using BlogPress from my iPad. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). Vake and Gil Martin: February 2014
http://reynoldvake.blogspot.com/2014_02_01_archive.html
Vake and Gil Martin. Tuesday, February 25, 2014. It seems so odd to be writing about it without any pictures to show- and Eric and I are doing it exactly the opposite way that we did the Boulevard house- mostly because there's not a lot of demo and what we are working on is mainly painting and (hopefully) tiling. Posted using BlogPress from my iPad. Wednesday, February 19, 2014. Happy birthday to V! What an amazing party and weekend we had! So so so much fun. Saturday marked the bounce-house bday party!

Vake and Gil Martin. Monday, June 16, 2014. The new art (sidonie Caron) is installed and awesome. Obviously our whole house is a complete work in progress. But. Almost one year later, we found the perfect piece of art for our mantel. We love it. Love it! Posted using BlogPress from my iPad. Saturday, June 14, 2014. Last day of school and graduation. Vake and Gil Martin: Tball
http://reynoldvake.blogspot.com/2014/05/tball.html
Vake and Gil Martin. Friday, May 30, 2014. I've now finished coaching Vake's spring soccer team- the grasshoppers. Around here, though, we've moved on to tall where I am mercifully not the coach. I will post game pictures soon, but here we are at a practice! Posted using BlogPress from my iPad. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). Richmond, Virginia, United States. Vake and Gil Martin: September 2013
http://reynoldvake.blogspot.com/2013_09_01_archive.html
Vake and Gil Martin. Tuesday, September 24, 2013. Obviously, we are always looking for fun activities that keep the boys busy and moving. This weekend, I saw that the Medford train museum was up and running. We had no idea what it would be like. We decided to chance it and head to Medford, about an hour away, and give it a whirl. There were model trains that could pull passengers- and Thomas was pulling one! Vake thought he had died and gone to heaven. Posted using BlogPress from my iPad. Waiting on the ...
