Eat read. repeat. Reading and eating in New York's Capital District. Sunday, November 28, 2010. Jane Eyre by Charlotte Bronte. I somehow got through several years of honors English classes in high school and a Bachelor's degree program in English without reading Jane Eyre. I recently read it for the first time and am so glad I did. If you dislike classics due to the formal, stuffier language that was de rigeur,. You won't like Jane Eyre. Do what you feel is right for you! But if you haven't read Jane Eyre.

Eat read. repeat. Reading and eating in New York's Capital District. Monday, October 11, 2010. The Little Stranger by Sarah Waters. I've fallen woefully behind in updating on my Meatless Month Challenge, but it's now finished and I'm trying to catch up with my posts. The rest of the month's meatless meals, as well as other food posts, are forthcoming. But now I'd like to tell you about Sarah Water's book, The Little Stranger. Discuss it with someone. Following this episode with Betty, Dr Faraday befriend...

Eat read. repeat. Reading and eating in New York's Capital District. Monday, November 8, 2010. Meatless Month: Day 15. If you're unfamiliar with falafel, it's a patty made of ground-up chickpeas and sometimes fava beans and is a common food in Middle Eastern cultures. We ate ours in a pita with hummus - my favorite is the Sabra brand. In any variety. My friend, the hummus snob, says this is the only kind that tastes as hummus should. The Masticating Monkey: February 2014

Eating and imbibing at home and around New York's Capital Region. Tuesday, February 25, 2014. A Disappointing Meal at The Capital American Eatery and Lounge. The process of discovery has been one of the most enjoyable aspects of writing my Eat This! Articles for All Over Albany. 160;Being fairly new to the area, its given extra incentive to searching the region for good dishes- sometimes at new restaurants, sometimes at restaurants that are just new to me. Eating and imbibing at home and around New York's Capital Region. Monday, March 17, 2014. St Paddy's Day IPA Roundup: Bell's Hopslam, Brooklyn Blast! Smuttynose Noonan Black IPA, and Victory DirtWolf. None of these beers are green. Some of them have some green on the labels. Is that enough to make this post acceptable for St. Patricks Day? Jon In Albany: January 2015
http://joninalbanyblog.blogspot.com/2015_01_01_archive.html
I have no idea what I'm doing. Give me some time to figure it out. Thursday, January 15, 2015. People Suck (but maybe not everyone - updated). I follow a bunch of different pizza sites (apparently I have obsessive compulsive pizza disorder) and this was in the pizza news today. Westport Car Dealership Messes With Pizza Delivery Guy, Feels Internet’s Wrath. I actually have some personal experience with a guy like that. It was back in my construction inspection days in the late 90s. A bunch of fill...I'm g...

I like quite a lot, actually. It's all about finding joy in the little things. Michael Bierut at the Esther Massry Gallery. Looking back on the last couple of months of posts you’d think that the only things I like are food-related! At the Esther Massry Gallery at the College of St. Rose. I went with two fellow designers to the show’s reception this past Friday, and afterwards enjoyed a short presentation about the show and some Q&A with Bierut. Tags: 30 Years 90 Notebooks. Eating and imbibing at home and around New York's Capital Region. Thursday, January 23, 2014. A long post about two days of eating in and around Burlington, Vermont. Ive lived here in the Albany area for more than a year now, so I was getting more and more eager to get up to Vermont. Fortunately, K and I got the opportunity this fall and spent a couple days near Burlington. It was, of course, the perfect time of year, the fall foliage in full color, the temperatures just right.
