Underwater Knitting

Tuesday, August 05, 2008. Hope to see you again soon! Just under three years ago, I started this blog in order to keep in touch with family and friends, share my crafty endeavors (and get some feedback on them), and vent about grad school. Since then I have gotten engaged. Spent 8 months away from my husband, learned to love the desert. A lot of science. And hopefully have grown as an academic. So, I'm moving. There is a lot of fun stuff coming up this year (and beyond! And I hope you will join me. 1 Put...

Underwater Knitting: January 2006

http://underwaterknitting.blogspot.com/2006_01_01_archive.html

Monday, January 30, 2006. So I spent yesterday in bed feeling sick. I only actually got out of bed about 4 times all day.and once i did I got a big splinter in my foot! We need to replace out wood floors in our bedroom. Maybe once the magic tax return fairy comes to visit we will. Anyways, besides that, DNA scarf was sort-of-gifted this morning. I need to do two more repeats of the pattern and am out of yarn. Hopefully it will be gifted for real by the end of the week! Posted by DancingFish at 11:53 AM.

Underwater Knitting: good news before I go...

http://underwaterknitting.blogspot.com/2006/05/good-news-before-i-go.html

Saturday, May 13, 2006. Good news before I go. So there is something I haven't told most of you. we have known since February, had a date for about 2 months, had a ring for 3 or 4 weeks but TODAY it is OFFICIAL! V and I are getting married! We have celebrated "Engagment week" with special picnic lunches, ice cream surprizes, nice dinners, and I was awoken this morning by this guy. Bringing me this ring on his dressed up bow tie. Have a fantastic month everybody! Posted by DancingFish at 12:14 PM.

Underwater Knitting: Quiet

http://underwaterknitting.blogspot.com/2008/07/quiet.html

Tuesday, July 29, 2008. Part of my reasoning for being pretty quiet lately has to do with my own transition. I am going to move the ol' blog. Not really a move but a new blog. More on this when it happens.soon. But first- Blogger or Wordpress? I already know Blogger but can be easily swayed. Anybody used both? Really love or hate one or the other? Please let me know in the comments! Posted by DancingFish at 10:40 PM. They are both about the same level of easy. PA, United States. View my complete profile.

Underwater Knitting: August 2005

http://underwaterknitting.blogspot.com/2005_08_01_archive.html

Tuesday, August 30, 2005. So school has offically started and the knitting is slow. Only 3 more blocks on V's scarf though and getting a few rows further on the cat bed. Hopefully more to report soon. I must now retire to the other room with the AC and the neglected cat. I am hoping some quality time will make him NOT wake me up with his happy little paws at 3 am tonight. Posted by DancingFish at 9:30 PM. Saturday, August 27, 2005. Fun Fur is.FUN! Cookies, a beaded necklace, very cool. It made my day.

Underwater Knitting: whoops...

http://underwaterknitting.blogspot.com/2008/07/whoops.html

Wednesday, July 16, 2008. I planned to post something interesting about rejections at the request of commenters and since I got one on Monday morning (boo). Then V wanted margaritas and you know, I just hate to see limes go to waste! So instead, here are some more field work related critter pictures. As is often the case, rejections will be dealt with tomorrow. Posted by DancingFish at 8:25 PM. PA, United States. I am a 4th year PhD student from PA trying to stay motivated and learning to sew.
