Rapid Prototyping is the craft of being able to create a real world product or part from a computer design. In the case here I am using the Rhinoceros 4 3D design software and the Roland MDX-15 CNC mill to produce projects. The following are some projects created in 2008-2009 using a small subtractive prototyping method. Diams; November 2008. The material shown on the site is that which I am legally able to show due to arrangements with clients and pieces I feel are satisfactory to display. So why the name? At the time of domain registration most of the clever CGI names were taken. Coworkers had a propensity of calling me dude, and so I ran with it.

In May of 2002 I was contacted by a local producer to be the creative consultant for a TV show pilot. The goal was to develop composite special effects for a docudrama that reenacts famous local ghost stories. The director requested that the ghosts look human but also blend the traits of â ghost photographyâ and Hollywood style ghosts.

In February of 2005 I was commissioned by a third party to produce an animated assembly guide video. This would be a three minute demonstration piece for a company that produces modular furniture similar to IKEA. When offering demonstrations or scripts within the entertainment industry it is common to offer a sample based on the competitions product or TV show. In the case here the competition is IKEA and the most simplistic modular product available is a round wooden end table.
