To Do — Where Am I Going Next?
http://blog.v-infinity.net/2013/02/26/to-do
Where Am I Going Next? Travel and other adventures. Yesterday, Carina asked me if I wanted to paint our nails. I said sure. She asked what else I wanted to do. I replied that we needed to go to the store. And then what? Well, we could play a game, and then catch, and then…. She made a list in a little notebook of all the things that we wanted to do. And then we executed (the first 5). She kept us on task for the rest of the day with that list. It was pretty impressive. There are no comments yet.

Where Am I Going Next? Travel and other adventures. I really need to do a better job of keeping up the blog. I think two or three times a day that I should really write this or that down to remember it, but I can’t seem to ever remember to do it when I’ve got a minute or two. And then 24 hours later I can’t remember what it is I meant to write about. Carina is getting so grown up. She’s amusing herself right now by trying to figure out how to spell words. She did “dog” all by he...January 29, 2012. And I...

The Cave — Where Am I Going Next?
http://blog.v-infinity.net/2014/08/21/the-cave
Where Am I Going Next? Travel and other adventures. It’s obviously a very rich imaginary world for him. I keep wondering, though, why a cave? I mean my 4-year-old has an imaginary man-cave. Is this really that instinctual of a desire? It’s so prevalent that the other kids will just bring it in to conversation as well. ”Oh, Drake, is that in your cave? 8221; I really need to get a video of him talking about it some day. He’s so earnest, it’s really quite charming. There are no comments yet.

One of those days — Where Am I Going Next?
http://blog.v-infinity.net/2012/02/25/one-of-those-days
Where Am I Going Next? Travel and other adventures. One of those days. Yesterday was… interesting. Drake told me Wednesday night that his ear hurt. So Thursday I tried to call the doctor, but couldn’t get through. So I took him to our friend Liz that works in a pharmacy clinic. She confirmed the ear infection and prescribed antibiotics. I said no to the numbing drops since he’d been pretty happyso far. Mistake #3 happened at this time, but I didn’t know it. 022612 at 4:11 pm }. Sounds like a rough couple...

Echa atrás la cara y recibe las estrellas. Sunday, June 21, 2009. I love field work. I just returned from a week of whirlwind sampling in Lake Superior. I was with three other graduate students and we were looking for a fish virus that has been devastating fish populations in the lower Great Lakes in recent years. A sign at all the boat ramps in Wisconsin warning fishermen to be on the lookout for the virus. Many of the photos came from my current lab. One of the electroshocking booms on our boat. 7:00am...
