http://thenatureofanillusion.blogspot.com/2009_10_01_archive.html
October 27, 2009. It's one of Western culture's immediate visual signifiers: beauty equals worthiness, ugliness equals wickedness.". THE PASSING PARADE OF PRINCESSES. Snow White and the Seven Dwarves:. Disney's first animated feature gave the world the archetypal Disney princess. She is hardly a feminist role model, but the continuing demand for Snow White merchandise suggests the list of her admirers extends way beyond the dwarves and Prince Charming. Beauty and the Beast:. Little Red Riding Hood. Goldi...

Welcome, I'm Amy: July 2009
http://thenatureofanillusion.blogspot.com/2009_07_01_archive.html
July 25, 2009. Having been intrigued by making something tangeable and real to touch, but also wanting to create a video which emphasises that my art may be in the performance, I wanted to maybe create a stop-start animation video. I've been researching on wikiHOW exactly what the process involves and I think I might have a play around with this idea for a while. The wikiHOW ideas can be viewed here: http:/ www.wikihow.com/Create-a-Stop-Motion-Animation. Art Work I may link it to. July 23, 2009. My ideas...

Welcome, I'm Amy: August 2009
http://thenatureofanillusion.blogspot.com/2009_08_01_archive.html
August 27, 2009. From my blog dated Saturday, 25th July 2009, (I'm still thinking about reversing fairy tales and changing the themes and outcomes.) I quote 'the idea that "A widely used metaphor for danger and a place of nightmares, Forest explores the 'in-between' or 'other place', the place of refuge and contemplation."'. So Red Riding hood skips through the forest to Grandma's house. Snow white is taken into a forest to be killed by the huntsman. Hansel and Gretel stumble upon the house in the forest.

April 13, 2010. The Buren images are intriguing. The second image is a painted wall, with sliders containing different coloured squares. The viewer can create their own view of the work by moving he sliding parts accordingly. This allows the viewer to change their original perceptions and ideas about the art work. I love this work, I think it would be quite useful for Jaz's particpatory art research too. Modern Art Oxford Whats on Daniel Buren: Intervention II About. Which is going to be part of the piece.

Art is my specialist subject, as it is a passion of mine. I enjoy taking photos of absolutely everything, cups of tea, and collecting large amounts of leaflets about things I'm interested in. I love being loved, watching ridiculously rubbish tv programmes, the French language and going on adventures to places I am captivated by. Subscribe Via RSS Feed.

Welcome, I'm Amy: Football
http://thenatureofanillusion.blogspot.com/2010/06/football.html
June 27, 2010. Can you believe that this team, the team that is hyped up as some sort. Of wonder team by the media have ruined the whole countrys dreams? Totally embarassing. Germany owned that game, we looked slightly like. We were going to get somewhere at one point, but were absolute rubbish. These footballers are nothing special. Its all about the money for. Them, not the game/country/love. Worst ever. Abysmal. We need real footballers who care about the game, who focus and work. You Me At Six.
