Saturday, August 21, 2004. One loophole the SUVs are too big to get through. Apparently some SUVs are too heavy for some streets in San Francisco. Now it's too bad that this law (circa 1970) doesn't make all SUVs illegal on all roads, but I'm pleased that my district supervisor (Bevan Dufty of district 8) is the one calling on DPT to enforce the law. Speaking of Supervisor Dufty, he sent me an email saying that he supported legislation against a proposed freeway entrance on Market Street.
