Black Stone City - Four Nations. Nov 6th, 2006 02:36 pm. Not good yet; it has the form but doesn't feel right. In the endless night when the world was new, Hungry Darkness said to Celestial Baker, "What dinner have you for me tonight? Celestial Baker replied, "I do not know.". Then bring me the white bird that flies round the world.". Finally, scouring the earth, he found a great iron disc, strewn with salt crystals and bundles of herbs. "Someone has done half my cooking for me," he said. In the endless ...

Ainu Names & Nameish Words - Four Nations
http://fournations.livejournal.com/6134.html
Ainu Names and Nameish Words - Four Nations. Ainu Names and Nameish Words. Dec 3rd, 2006 02:55 pm. This is just for my reference. Ainu parents give their children a pet name which they use publicly. Around puberty, children are given an adult name, which is kept mostly secret, but given to close friends and family members. It seems like children without adult names don't generally know the secret names of their family members. Secret names are also used at sacred rituals. Konkani, Shirokani - gold, silver.

The Dead and the Yi - Four Nations. The Dead and the Yi. Nov 5th, 2006 02:27 pm. From The Age of Wild Ghosts. By Erik Mueggler (U Michigan):. So the main difference between Yi practices and the Four Nations is that, among the Four Nations, the sieves were never erected. But the living and the dead are still not permitted to talk to each other, the dead still occasionally bite the living, and the living are still able to beat the dead. 2006-11-06 12:15 am (UTC).

Chapter 14 (Wu Shi Zhong): Scholars, Not Warriors. Wu Shi Zhong,. Bell of the Fifth Hour,. Touched his student on the shoulder lightly, and tapped him in two spots. Gai Zheng froze in mid-step. "Wrong! Start inhaling the instant your foot leaves the earth, no sooner nor later, or you will hopelessly imbalance your breath. I would not have been able to paralyse you as I just did, had you been doing it correctly! Pardon, Zhong Laoshi? Master preferred a more familiar teaching method. If you choose to gossi...

Series Bible Entry: "Guangdong". We cannot open the gates! The soldier stood before the walls of Guangdong, facing its northern gate. It was as if the silver doors had melted in a strong fire; they had fused down the middle and the bricks and mortar of the portal were mingled with threads of metal. Two messengers ran to the captain's side. "The eastern gate! He muttered. "That demon-consulting son of a dog's parasites.". Post a new comment. We will log you in after post. My hero - Sic Transit Gloria Iskander. Trickling down the plughole of rationality, one game at a time. The Book of Judd. Stuff not worth reading. I am Alexander Newman. This blog is mostly for my thoughts, rants, reviews, designs and experiences of roleplaying games. Not the MMORPG/MMOG kind — although I've played them — but the sit around a table with a clutch of friends and make up a cool story kind of games. 26 August 2008 @ 11:30. I have a new hero. Seriously. Matthew Mitcham is awesome. Like, does h...

Three Old Men - Four Nations. Oct 16th, 2006 03:34 pm. The Grandfather is stooped and his hands are folded in his lap. He speaks slowly and is nearly always smiling. He drinks his tea with both hands round the cup. The Hermit sits straight up, and he has a death-grip on whatever is in his right hand. His voice is shrill and he does not listen or agree, only objects.

Chapter 6 (Ma Zhen): A Flight of Flowers. On a mountaintop, in the distance where stone evaporated into hills of white cloud, Ma Zhen’s eagle eyes saw what he was looking for: a man of ashes, fighting for desperate life against a mazy, coiling creature of fire. It was the dream of a temple burning, the dream that the warriors of old Shaolin wore like a badge. The barbarian opened his eyes and told Plum Fragrance where they were going. Yes, master Truth," they replied in carefully courteous unison. I am t...
