http://hellofanengineer.blogspot.com/2013_01_01_archive.html
Hell of an Engineer. Thursday, January 17, 2013. HPRINT Progress and Recap: Part 1. For the past year and a half or so, I've been working on designing [and in the past several months, building] a personal 3D printer along the lines of the more popular consumer and open-source models on the market. But before I get into the current state of the project, I'd like to show you how I got there. Back in the summer of 2011, I had my first introduction to 3D printing by way of a Stratasys Dimension 1200es. The o...

Hell of an Engineer: On Publicity
http://hellofanengineer.blogspot.com/2013/04/on-publicity.html
Hell of an Engineer. Sunday, April 7, 2013. As I mentioned in the Hello World. Post, I volunteer as an Undergraduate Lab Instructor at the Georgia Tech Invention Studio. Recently, we had a video made to give a better picture of what the Studio is, what its mission is, and how it operates:. The Digital Design Room. However, up until the publication of that video it's been a bit of an up-hill battle for the Invention Studio to be noticed by the public at large. That changed in a big way when Dale Dough...

Hell of an Engineer: HPRINT
http://hellofanengineer.blogspot.com/p/hprint.html
Hell of an Engineer. HPRINT 144: Large-Volume 3D Printer and Multi-Extrusion Testbed. HPRINT is a material deposition-style custom 3D printer that I began working on way back in the summer of 2011. Before any fabrication began it went through a large number of design changes. When the first CAD models and assemblies were made it started off as a greatly enlarged and reinforced version of the Ultimaker. Later it transitioned through a prusa. New comments are not allowed.
