Perhaps one of the greatest classic of our generation that was viewed by billions of people worldwide in 1997. Sir Elton John performed. Goodbye England’s Rose. sunstruck: Indian consumers voice concerns over GM food
http://runawaysun.blogspot.com/2011/03/indian-consumers-voice-concerns-over-gm.html
A worldview with a view of the world. Indian consumers voice concerns over GM food. What with cricket, scams and forthcoming state elections ruling the headlines, the debate over introducing genetically-modified (GM) food/crops in India is almost forgotten. Is that a good thing? Depends on which side you’re on. BRAI is expected to act as the sole agency responsible for the regulatory system, including research, transport, import, manufacture and the use of GM crops in India.]. The meeting was organised b...

sunstruck: What's new
http://runawaysun.blogspot.com/2010/04/whats-new.html
A worldview with a view of the world. I hear people declare these days, “consumers trust products and brand recommendations from people they know” (or words to this effect), as if it’s some kind of revelation. But, hasn’t this always been the case? Haven’t people always consulted their family, friends, neighbours and colleagues for advice and recommendations on products and services they intended to buy and use? What’s new about that? I'm reading: What's new. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom).

On threads of words, I strive to create life…. Anger, hurt, helplessness, but fear most of all. January 14, 2013. What is making me write this is the frustration. Of having to look behind my shoulder constantly, of how I have handled intrusions on my self. Nothing. What should I have done? I still don’t know. I know that I stopped taking trains and switched to buses. I found it easier, perhaps, to deal with subtle elbows trying to press into me than these blatant ‘attacks’. 14 Jan 2013 at 8:54 am. A worldview with a view of the world. The use of fear as a weapon is nothing new. Not just in war or by totalitarian governments upon their people or by the mafia or by landlords over farmers and peasants in agrarian societies like India, but even in cases as simple as parents disciplining their children or children bullying other children. In short, the belief that the use of fear and violence is for good. This is where I see the greatest evil. Evil in their blood. Although we tend to single out Adolf H...

A worldview with a view of the world. District 9 busts the myth of good and evil. This year, from an unexpected quarter of the world, comes a film that takes head-on, and then shatters, the myth of good and evil. That film is District 9. And it comes from South Africa. What’s more surprising is that District 9. Although disturbing to watch and, in places, heart-wrenchingly emotional, this is where District 9. End up believing that being human is, perhaps, not such a good thing after all. In war, if there...
