Which I highly, highly recommend you to check out) last night, and as I was going through them I. That looks smudgier than a star, and for good reason – it’s actually the core of the Andromeda galaxy! Not bad for a compact sub-dSLR. And a ten dollar Walmart tripod, eh? Why the galaxy looks blurry…😉. August 10, 2015.

Updates From The Night Shift. I work three jobs. Sometimes I think about things. Ad Astra Per Asparagus: Introducing the Alpha Centauri Project. Traveling a light year using only stock parts in Kerbal Space Program was a fun and interesting challenge, but let’s be honest: there’s not much out there. In the game, or in the real world. How far would you have to go before things get interesting? A note on staging: Many Kerbal Space Program players like to use a technique called “asparagus staging̶...

Alright, so, not to get my hopes up prematurely or anything, but the good ship. Isn’t It Ionic. Has just passed 700 billion kilometers. This is significantly farther than any of my previous attempts. Assuming my computer doesn’t crash in the next couple of weeks, we should be golden! How will they do it? I don’t know, because I haven’t gotten that far yet. But so f...If you liked ...

Updates From The Night Shift. I work three jobs. Sometimes I think about things. During the day I work for Mad Science of Toronto. They call me “Professor Laser”. I teach science to children in various settings, and I’ve become rather good at it. Despite that, it’s still a part-time job, so…. In the evenings I go to my factory job at JEMS Coating Limited. On the weekends, I mark ESL tests at Global Village Toronto. I’m a glorified scantron machine. Not much more to that one. Leave a Reply Cancel reply.

The Farm - Blog
The Cast and Crew. I'm joining Taryn at Wooly Moss Roots for Gratitude*Sunday. To take a moment to reflect on the small simple things that give pleasure and that remind me of what is important in life. I haven't done a gratitude post in quite while. Not that I haven't been grateful or wanted to take a moment to bask in the goodness of the week but there's simply been so much on my plate that I couldn't find the time. Which is really the point of sharing the gratitudes right? Watching the boys.Nick an...

Updates from the Johnsons. Snapshots from our day-to-day life. Taking a little break. December 7, 2012. I’m not really sure that anyone is checking this blog anymore (not that I blame them! Updates from the Uterus. Saturday, May 30, 2009. T minus 1 day. So many people have asked me what the worst part of IVF is.well, let's see.there are the incredible amount of injections, the insane amount of hormones associated with those injections, the weight gain associated with the hormones and oh yes.the dreaded wait between the Embryo Transfer and the long awaited Beta test. The latter has got to be the worst for sure! Saturday, May 23, 2009. Will they split and John and I might have a shot at a Bra...

updates from Uppsala
Saturday, November 21, 2009. Last day of Sweden. Today was our last full day in Sweden. This morning Eric took the boys (wearing the colors) out for a last visit to the cathedral. Then they walked into town and marveled one more time at the number of bicycles at the train station. They finished their outing at the Biotopia, where Christopher enjoyed studying Swedish ecosystems and painting. Hej då, Sverige. We're happy to go home, but sad to leave. Friday, November 20, 2009. You've come a long way, babies.

Updates from Us in Buffalo
Updates from Us in Buffalo. American Falls and Skiing. We also skied for the first time this season. We decided to do most of our skiing this year at Holiday Valley in Ellicottville. We had great conditions. We are both very excited to finally be out skiing again. After the Brewery, we walked around the town of Fredericksburg and went into some of the little shops. I of course found the fudge shoppe. We then visited the Fredericksburgy National Cemetery. Ellis Island, Statue of Liberty and The Cake Boss.
