One Year One Scope: GSSP 2012 Observing Report
http://oneyearonescope.blogspot.com/2012/08/gssp-2012-observing-report.html
Friday, August 24, 2012. GSSP 2012 Observing Report. The Golden State Star Party is a yearly event held under very dark skies near Adin, in Northern California. How dark? It is on the fantastic Dark Sky Finder right on the edge of a black zone. You can look all over California on the map and find only a handful of black sky sites, and most are tiny islands. True, this is on the edge of a grey zone, but compared to my normal semi-dark observing location, Joshua Tree, CA. Forever a piece of me in California.

A Timeline of Sorts about astro photography. Tuesday, June 28, 2016. Planning to burn through some Acros and E200 during GSSP 2016. This should allow me to run through a roll each night, planning on shooting at F5.6 for 40 minutes. The apparatus shown above weighs 33.5 lbs. Just slightly overweight for the GM8. Experiencing L(n)ight: Scanner Frustrations
http://blog.migol.com/2016/09/scanner-frustrations.html
A Timeline of Sorts about astro photography. Wednesday, September 28, 2016. The scanner complained again yesterday while finishing up another film strip. I will speak with an FAE later today. My first thought is to skip the film astrophotography at Calstar this year out of frustration. I realize that this is just a temporary setback and it's better to use the film rather than waiting until next year. I can always leave it in a binder until I'm able to scan again.
