Naked in New York: September 2006
http://nakedinnewyork.blogspot.com/2006_09_01_archive.html
Naked in New York. Sunday, September 10, 2006. Four blocs from home, a man walking in my direction, carrying a bouquet of flowers, seemed overly happy to see me. He wore a baseball cap with "España" embroidered on the front, and I'm pretty sure he carried a black backpack. He seemed to be of an undetermined age. Maybe 45. Hi, how are you! The perplexed look on my face must have given him a clue. It's me, Louie. You helped me with directions on Central to the mall. No I told you. It wasn't me. A little li...

Naked in New York: March 2006
http://nakedinnewyork.blogspot.com/2006_03_01_archive.html
Naked in New York. Friday, March 17, 2006. I see a sea of green. For those on the market for a classier souvenir, the Saint Patrick's Cathedral gift shop offered this statue of St. Patrick for eleven thousand clams. Every bar in town was having some sort of commemoration. Downtown in the financial district they clearly took ambiance a bit more seriously, including a stretch of real grass in the middle of the alley. Drunken, but classy, I suppose was the message. Naked in New York: December 2005
http://nakedinnewyork.blogspot.com/2005_12_01_archive.html
Naked in New York. Tuesday, December 27, 2005. The city is full of people. Lots of tourists and lots and lots of fantastic people watching. For some reason, this year I've developed a fascination with women wearing fur coats. The outfits they've assembled have kept me entertained while walking down crowded sidewalks and almost made the slow go bearable. Almost. Sadly, I don't see an end to the fur faux pas, but with the warm weather, hopefully the furs will stay inside. or not. Posted by Fe at 5:58 PM.

Naked in New York: July 2006
http://nakedinnewyork.blogspot.com/2006_07_01_archive.html
Naked in New York. Tuesday, July 25, 2006. Finding a place to live is easier said than done. Sure there is the fun of going to look at different places and imagining (or trying not to imagine) living there. There is something voyeuristic about it; a guilty pleasure of going into people's homes and looking around, trying to picture your stuff - all of your stuff - there. But fine. There was a picture of a house on a real estate website. It looked cool. We could sort of make out the address, so...

Naked in New York: May 2006
http://nakedinnewyork.blogspot.com/2006_05_01_archive.html
Naked in New York. Monday, May 29, 2006. This Memorial Day was my first, in some 13 years in which I didn't spend it somewhere where it was cold and rainy. On the contrary: it was warm and sunny. It's great to be far away from the Midwest, if, for no other reason, to see my childhood friend: the Atlantic Ocean. Posted by Fe at 9:03 PM. Links to this post. Tell the truth and run. Naked in New York: January 2006
http://nakedinnewyork.blogspot.com/2006_01_01_archive.html
Naked in New York. Saturday, January 21, 2006. Consistent with my leaning towards becoming either a professional slob or a full time bum (I haven't decided on which yet, lots to consider and frankly it just takes too much effort), I flipped on the telly. Since I'm not working right now, I no longer have to pretend to work by surfing the web. I can simply let my brain slowly turn to goo by watching television. It's not often that Brazilians dominate a sport or, um, activity, whatever you call it. I also d...

Naked in New York: February 2006
http://nakedinnewyork.blogspot.com/2006_02_01_archive.html
Naked in New York. Tuesday, February 28, 2006. Fat Guy in a Lime Green Mini. Here is another post from the archives of my old life in Detroit. Detroit is gritty, dirty and, as the show biz people would say, "a has been." People drive there, and then they quickly drive away. Not me. I go there for no reason and I linger around. There is an immense amount of beauty in a city that once was the Paris of the west, but now it's more like Beirut than Paris. Posted by Fe at 7:40 PM. Links to this post. Before mo...

Naked in New York: April 2006
http://nakedinnewyork.blogspot.com/2006_04_01_archive.html
Naked in New York. Friday, April 14, 2006. I want. a shoping cart. Scott says I'm ahead of my time by about 50 years. But I don't care. I want a shopping cart. The kind that city dwelling old ladies push down the street almost in slow motion, each tentative step taken with the utmost concentration. Yes, maybe I'm ahead of my time: shopping carts are cool. Not only do they fold away when you don't need them, they have bit of a dorky appeal, I have to admit. I want a shopping cart. Posted by Fe at 3:47 PM.

Naked in New York: October 2006
http://nakedinnewyork.blogspot.com/2006_10_01_archive.html
Naked in New York. Sunday, October 01, 2006. Not all fun and games. It sounded more like a teenage girl’s holler. Like when kids are out with their friends and act all silly and decide to wake the neighborhood up. Random noises. Not distress, not happiness. Just noise. Random. A holler. It didn’t seem unusual, not on a Friday night. Posted by Fe at 9:54 PM. Links to this post. Tell the truth and run. View my complete profile. Contos de uma Vida em ExÃlio. Is WiFi like a fart?
