Green Reading | Green Pea Pod

Posted by Karly GreenP. I have read excerpts of the classic, Silent Spring, by Rachel Carson, and it’s on my bookshelf, but I haven’t read it cover to cover (*shock*), so I won’t claim to have read it. I get many of my book inspirations from the David Suzuki Foundation book club. I am also gleaning new books to read from this book list. I am in no way an expert, and this is just my opinion on these books and how they make me feel. What I’m reading right now. Books I’ve read since 2010. By Rebecca Thistle...

Laquo; Travellog Part V: Philippines. Posted June 16, 2014 by Karly GreenP in Farm Life. So we’ve been at Rootdown Organic Farm. As mentioned, our quarters on the farm are small but pretty great. Journey to Farming | Green Pea Pod
https://greenpeapod.wordpress.com/journey-to-farming
Posted by Karly GreenP. A variety of experiences and a lot of self-reflection have brought me to the point where I think the best way for me to effect change is at the most fundamental level – food. Everyone has to eat, and food is one of the key ways that every person can make a political statement, without even meaning to. For now, I’m learning. March-November 2013, I participated in the UBC Practicum in Sustainable Agriculture. May-October 2014, my partner and I are apprenticing on Rootdown Farm.
