Le 22 septembre nous voilà à Paris, on sort du métro et on tombe pile devant le Moulin Rouge, un mec qui joue de l’accordéon, une boulangerie et un fromager. On est archi-contents! Quand on pense que 14 heures plus tôt on survolait le Golden Gate Bridge! On passe la nuit dans le bel appartement parisien de la famille d’Étienne, à 2 pas du Moulin Rouge, c’est top! Le lendemain le train jusqu’à Poitiers. Et là : Surprise!

Il a fait très chaud et humide (entre 35 et 40 C en journée et plus de 20 la nuit) et le temps est magnifique. Heureusement nous suivons un fleuve, le Potomac, qui nous donne un peu de fraicheur. On voit plein d’animaux trop cools (castors, ratons laveurs, serpents, biches, tortues, écureuils, plein de moustiques, d’araignées, de moucherons, etc.). On bouffe soda et chips devant la téloche!

Il fait chaud, c’est désertique, c’est magnifique et il y a des montées plutôt raides. Après s’être extirpés de l’agglomération d’Indy, nous nous dirigeons vers Stileville, IN, toujours par la route 40. Nous avons repéré un parc sur Google où nous comptons passer la nuit.
