Beginning Gyotaku- Japanese for Fish Rubbing. This artform- gyotaku- evolved from the fish rubbings Japanese fishermen made to document their catches. In this beginning two-hour workshop, you will learn. How to prepare the fish. How to apply acrylic paint to it. How to place and hold fabric to make a fish print using the direct method.
