http://fightingphysics.blogspot.com/2009/06/c-5-x-3-52kgs-roughly-70-1rm-vo2max.html
Friday, 5 June 2009. C&J - 5 x 3 @ 52kgs (roughly 70% 1RM). Vo2max Snatches - 40 rounds of 15:15 @ 16kgs KB. Total - 280 in 15 mins. The competition and the resulting photo has had the effect I thought it would. Disgusted by it I have lost 6lbs since last Saturday. I've been following the eating habits written in this www.fourhourworkweek.com/blog. But its not much different from several variations of this type of low carb diet I've tried. The main difference is motivation, pure and simple.

Fighting Physics: R.I.P. Holly
http://fightingphysics.blogspot.com/2009/06/rip-holly.html
Thursday, 18 June 2009. We had to have our dog put down on Monday. She was 9 1/2 years old and in pretty bad shape. Thankfully she went downhill pretty quickly though and wasn't in discomfort for as long as some I have since heard about. I miss her. My mum wanted to have her buried in her garden and so I set about digging it straight after the vet had gone. I've got to say it was a pretty therapeutic process, upsetting at points but something I think all owners should do. 23 June 2009 at 19:53. 5 mins TG...

Fighting Physics: KB Fun
http://fightingphysics.blogspot.com/2009/06/kb-fun.html
Monday, 1 June 2009. C&J - 5 x 3 @ 50kgs (roughly 70% 1RM). Vo2max Snatches - 20 rounds of 15:15 @ 16kgs KB. Total - 160 in 10 mins. Going to keep it quite simple for the next fortnight - 5 x 3 @ 70% alternating barbell Snatches and C&Js. Then following this up with vo2max sessions. I started another concerted effort to drop some lbs again today so I'll be playing the duration of the vo2max sessions by ear. I want to improve conditioning but making sure I'm not killing myself and my energy.

Fighting Physics: Just give me 7!!
http://fightingphysics.blogspot.com/2009/06/just-give-me-7.html
Wednesday, 10 June 2009. Just give me 7! Vo2max Snatches - 80 rounds. Of 15:15 @ 16kgs KB. Total - 560 in 40 mins. To get there I decided that all I had to do was 7 efficient reps over and over - the more efficient the easier it would be. Just give me 7! Nevermind how many rounds you've done or still have to do. Just give me 7! About half way through my skin was being left on the KB and my hands were in pretty bad shape. Just give me 7! At 65 I felt a bit faint and very weak and tired. Just give me 7!

Sticky Kisses: Three-Posts-In-One
http://beanieschapini.blogspot.com/2013/03/three-posts-in-one.html
The Sweet and Sour of the Stay-At-Home Life. Wednesday, March 13, 2013. Post I: Habemus Papam! I would not normally have used this phrase as a post title, but it seemed to go well with my next one, which I started a few days ago, before we had a new pope. Which, we now have! It was a day of great excitement in the Catholic world and in our house today! Pope Francis seems to have a sweetness about him that I think the whole world needs. He calls for brotherhood, something the world needs. On faceb...Part ...

The Sweet and Sour of the Stay-At-Home Life. Thursday, January 31, 2013. When we were embarking on the Big Event of Having Three Children (can you tell I read a lot of A.A. Milne? People warned us, "Watch out! It really was that great. Partly because it was summer (and even an extraordinary summer where it almost never rained! Three is not crazy! Three is (omg why did I even think this) EASY! Riiiiiight. "Easy," I said. In other news, Anja got a camera for her birthday in November and we just got the cor...

Sticky Kisses: February 2013
http://beanieschapini.blogspot.com/2013_02_01_archive.html
The Sweet and Sour of the Stay-At-Home Life. Sunday, February 10, 2013. On Friday morning the girls and I drove up the hill to St. Mary's School and officially registered Anja for half day morning kindergarten. I'm not feeling especially sentimental (yet) about the fact that my oldest baby is going to be heading off to school in the fall, but at the same time I AM feeling sentimental about the fact that she is no longer, in any way, shape or form, a baby. And then one day everything magically changed.

Sticky Kisses: When I Grow Up
http://beanieschapini.blogspot.com/2013/05/when-i-grow-up.html
The Sweet and Sour of the Stay-At-Home Life. Tuesday, May 28, 2013. When I Grow Up. I was twelve when I got my first guitar (a Lotus, from a pawn shop) and shortly after I learned how to play "Love Me Do" and "Feelin Groovy," I decided what I wanted to be when I grew up: I wanted to be "a hippie.". Where the heck am I going with this blabbering post? Listening to Joan Baez makes me want to homeschool forever. Here is the point of this post: BE TRUE TO YOURSELF. If you can, that is. For example, b...It's ...

http://beanieschapini.blogspot.com/2013_07_01_archive.html
The Sweet and Sour of the Stay-At-Home Life. Tuesday, July 2, 2013. No, I hate Judgers). Today something really funny happened. It was funny to me, and someday I hope Greta will see the humor in it as well. This is how it went:. Greta: "Mama, will you put this bow in my side ponytail? Which way do you want it to go? Greta: "I want it like this." (shows me, sort of, which direction it should face.). Me: "Okay." (Puts in bow) "Now, you go look in the bathroom mirror and see if I did it right.". I felt a li...
