Sunday, June 27, 2010. Phuket's Baht Bus (Songthaew). There always seem to have buses, so frequency is not a problem - at least from what I have experienced so far. You can't say you've fully experienced Phuket until you've hopped into one of these songthaews and I guarantee you, its worth the ride. Monday, June 21, 2010. Saturday, June 19, 2010. The devotees present the carved elephants as a thanksgiving gesture for wishes that had been granted and some simply as an offering to request for something.

Friday, August 13, 2010. Thai names are beautiful sounding but a mouthful to pronounce and remember (for me at least). Don't believe me? Test your memory with this :-Peerakavee and Sujinthammasarn. But thankfully, most of them have nicknames (not necessarily an abbreviated version of their original name though). My personal favourites are Nui, Noi, Sai, Pop, Joke, Bum and Tee. Tuesday, August 17, 2010. The Crime and Investigation Channel of Thai Cable tv is one of my favourite channels. It recently aired a programme called. Spellbound: Crimes of the Mind. The one hour programme talked about criminals using magical spells (pukau) to rob and rape their victims. All three cases highlighted were from Malaysia.
