Unplugged and in perpetual motion. Sunday, April 11, 2010. I'm on a train! The next few posts are going to revolve around a theme: that of our Spring Break trip to New Orleans. The first step in our epic Big Easy adventure was taking the train from Los Angeles to New Orleans. We would definitely take the train again and we got in to New Orleans right on time and got to see a lot of the lower half of the United States. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). Unplugged and in perpetual motion: Four days in Curacao
http://kaleidoscopicwandering.blogspot.com/2010/12/four-days-in-curacao.html
Unplugged and in perpetual motion. Saturday, December 11, 2010. Four days in Curacao. Last June, Jo attended the Travel Blog Exchange conference in New York. While there she won a three night stay at a luxury resort in Willemstad, Curacao. So, over the long Thanksgiving weekend we flew off to Curacao. The island is still a part of the Netherlands – The Netherland Antilles to be exact – and is inhabited by a combination of Dutch citizens and native Curacaoans. It is a very colorful, albeit small, island.

Unplugged and in perpetual motion. Wednesday, August 11, 2010. Itty Bitty Kitty Committee part 3. Our third set of kittens was only with us for two weeks. These little ones needed to get acclimated to living in a house and needed to fatten up so they made the weight required before they could be fixed. These three came to us already named. Isabella (Izzy) was our shy little girl. She only came out for petting if she was jealous of the attention the boys were receiving. Izzy was a unique little gi...In be...

Unplugged and in perpetual motion. Monday, December 21, 2009. Believe it or not, Jo and I have been married for six years. To celebrate we decided to use the gift card we received when we donated to NPR and go to Terra Verde at the Green Valley Ranch in Henderson and have a fancy pants dinner. We got all dressed up (I even wore a tie! And drove on down to GVR. The promenade was decorated for the Holidays with a big tree and a lot of lights along the walkway. It was really quite pretty.

Unplugged and in perpetual motion. Monday, May 17, 2010. New Orleans Photo Essay. Ok we know. it has been way to long. Instead of taking forever to write a long post on New Orleans, we figure a photo essay might be better. The Union Station in Los Angeles. Lamp lights in the French Quarter. The Corn Fence House. Street cars- we took one to the Garden District. Katrina damage to Louis Armstrong Park. The cemeteries are one of the coolest parts of the city. all sorts of photo opportunities.

Unplugged and in perpetual motion. Tuesday, June 1, 2010. The Itty Bitty Kitty Committee take one. You remember the pictures I posted on Facebook of the Bare Naked Ladies concert? Go check them out…. You with me now? You don’t get the allusion? Scarlett came to us with a runny nose and a bit of an eye infection. We got the eye cleared up fairly quickly but she still has the sneezles. Tara grows exponentially each day, both in girth and in fur. Scarlett remains hyper and wiry. In Love and Fur,. Little Lan...

Unplugged and in perpetual motion. Wednesday, October 27, 2010. Itty Bitty Kitty Committee #4. It's been a few weeks since we were living with the energetic bunch of Itty Bitty Kitty Committee #4, but we wanted to introduce you to these five (that's right, FIVE) little cutie patooties that called our house home for two weeks anyway. We weren't exactly up for taking on five kittens at a time, and they offered to split up the litter, but how could we possibly split the litter? In many ways, Adelaide had to...

Unplugged and in perpetual motion. Sunday, March 21, 2010. We painted the living room.well the two of the walls. Observe! It took a week to decide on colors. We had about a dozen different and very similar shades of green and red. We're still on the hunt for a matching set of curtains but overall we're very happy with the change. Hope all is well.
