If ye are prepared ye shall not fear...: Unemployed or unemployable
http://ifyeareprepared.blogspot.com/2012/01/unemployed-or-unemployable.html
Subscribe To If ye are prepared. Tuesday, January 3, 2012. For example, if you have been a carpenter in the construction industry, you may have believed that there would never come a time when you could not get a job. Maybe while you still had a job, you should have studied or taken classes to obtain some other types of skills that could be used to find employment in the event of a downturn in construction such as one during the past few years. Subscribe To If ye are prepared. Tuesday, July 21, 2009. Living within your means. Once you know what it costs to live, you can start making adjustments to your spending based on realistic. Evaluations of your actual needs. Do you really need the air conditioning set to 72 degrees in the summer? Do you really need to buy a case of water every week? Could you save money by buying a different car? Do you really need to eat out two or three times a week? By observation, I would say quite a few. Unless and u...

If ye are prepared ye shall not fear...: Out of work or unemployable?
http://ifyeareprepared.blogspot.com/2012/01/out-of-work-or-unemployable.html
Subscribe To If ye are prepared. Monday, January 2, 2012. Out of work or unemployable? Perhaps this lady on the radio was employed in a job that no longer exists or maybe her whole type of work is no longer part of our economy? If there are jobs openings that go begging, why are there long term unemployed? Issued by Fitch Ratings Tuesday afternoon.". It would be interesting to know what skills the radio lady had and what she had done to improve her skills while she was gainfully employed. Youre making a ...

Subscribe To If ye are prepared. Thursday, January 5, 2012. Using inappropriate language or slang. I would quote from an old English book, TALMAGE, Thomas de Witt, and John MATTHIAS. The Talmage Series of Sunday School Dialogues . Edited by J. Matthias. 1880 Wherein Thomas Talmage has written a discussion between two boys. It is worth quoting some of the statements made:. We wonder why those of coarse and profane conversation, even if they refuse obedience to God’s will, are so stunted mentally tha...

SouthwestUS Blog: Where does this trail go?
http://southwestus.blogspot.com/2009/04/where-does-this-trail-go.html
Wednesday, April 8, 2009. Where does this trail go? About a quarter of a mile from the end of our hike up and back the Peralta Trail, two college-age men asked us where the trail went. One of the two men carried a half-full bottle of water. Neither had packs of any type. Hey," one said. "Where does this trail go? The two guys we met didn't show up on the news, but they could have been added to the list of statistics and merited a press-release by the search and rescue team that came out to look for them&...

SouthwestUS Blog: Hummingbirds
http://southwestus.blogspot.com/2009/04/hummingbirds.html
Monday, April 13, 2009. Hummingbirds are fascinating creatures. These are some photos we have taken recently of native Arizona hummingbirds. We have an orchid tree in our back yard that has been blooming for a month now. This tree seems to be a favorite hangout for hummingbirds, so we have been able to get some photos as the birds eat from the bright purple flowers. This Broadbilled Hummingbird is very colorful: blue, purple, and green. It loves the desert honeysuckle plants. Posted by RM Bowers. Those a...

SouthwestUS Blog: Casa Grande
http://southwestus.blogspot.com/2009/04/casa-grande.html
Friday, April 3, 2009. Well, it's worth a visit. once. Once you've seen Casa Grande, there is not much reason to go back. However, it's pretty impressive if you take the time to learn about the building. The Casa Grande or "big house" is a 4-story, 11-room structure which was built about 700 years ago. It is surrounded by other smaller structures, including a small ballcourt. For more information, you can check out the official National Parks page for Casa Grande National Monument. Jared - Kristi - Anwyn - Lily - Zach. Sunday, November 30, 2014. November was a nice month. We had an FHE lesson at the beginning of the month about gratitude/thankfulness, so that helped us to bring a more grateful spirit into our home. This year we did a door of Thankfulness. Throughout the month we added pictures/descriptions of things we are thankful for. The details are kind of hard to see, but the kids drawing were cute! This is what we had on our door for 2014. Over 100 things! Anwyn participated ...

Jared - Kristi - Anwyn - Lily - Zach. Sunday, February 15, 2015. Running and Running and Running. Anwyn came home from school a few weeks ago with a paw charm to add to her chain necklace. When the children do morning mile before school they earn feet and shoes and eventually paws to represent the number of miles they have run. A paw equals 100 miles, so that is a big accomplishment for Anwyn! Lily and her best friend Keira. Sunday, February 1, 2015. Celebrating Anwyn- the double digit birthday! We celeb...
