USS Oriskany (CV/CVA 34). The USS Oriskany, affectionately referred to as "The Mighty O", was a U.S. Navy Essex-class aircraft carrier named for the Revolutionary War Battle of the same name. The USS Oriskany earned two battle stars during the Korean War, and another five during the Vietnam War. During the Vietnam War, the Oriskany launched more sorties and flew more missions than any other US Navy Carrier. AUTHORIZED: 07 AUG 1942. LAID DOWN: 01 MAY 1944. LAUNCHED: 13 OCT 1945. COMMISSIONED: 25 SEP 1950.

387ft Steel Freighter sank in 1995. Depths range from 80ft - 130ft. 247ft clam-shell dredge sank in 1991. Beautiful, mostly intact wreck. Depths range from 70ft - 115ft. Partially intact tug sunk in 1991. Numerous metal pipes attached to upper deck. Depths range from 88ft - 105ft. 250 foot wooden schooner from the 19th Century. Depths range from 90ft - 95ft. The H2O Below is a 36' Newton custom dive boat, and is certified to carry 24 divers. For everyone's comfort, trips are limited to 16 recreational divers or 10 tech divers. Regularly inspected for safety by the U.S. Coast Guard. Runs an average of 20 knots (Sixty to Ninety Minutes to the Mighty O). Large coolers for food and drinks. Once on the bottom, the ship will become a habitat for marine life. The state of Florida has a sinking permit from the Army Corps of Engineers and has an active reef-monitoring program. Scuba divers and fishermen are expected to flock to the site.
