Wednesday, January 28, 2009. Well it's been a productive day or two! I was blessed to check Freecycle yesterday and a BYU student was getting rid of their desk/cabinet for free! I went to pick it up and though it has a few blemishes on it. Cody will now have his own "space". *GRIN* It matches *my* desk in the office too! Alsowe went to Costco today and picked up 4 curriculum workbooks for his age group - and he wanted one for Caleb so he can teach Caleb too! How is coal turned into energy? Can I do it?

Saturday, May 30, 2009. I can't believe May is gone! We have done so much! We have planted our garden, are building a chicken coop, and we recently returned from a family vacation. I hate to say it, but we were terribly busy.but I can't tell you exactly with what! I have GOT to keep better records! We went to Tucson for a family members graduation and stayed to play. Thursday, November 5, 2009. School is taking a back burner. I am very sad to report. we are closing doors on the Dorius. Academy for a little while. We have had a series of unfortunate events that require Mom to be a Realtor/Office Manager more than a teacher right now. so Cody is headed to school. He is really sad. I just can't stomach the thought of him getting behind. and financially I need the time I use for school to invest in finding ways to bring in more income for now. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom).

Monday, March 30, 2009. So I announced it today before we started school. They both looked at me a little nervously and in disbelief, yet after a few clarifications and such. they were PUMPED! Emmalee decided she wanted to research Rabbits. Then she started making a power point to exhibit to us! I didn't even know she knew how to do a power point! Cody played with some ideas and then settled down to a Science book. He has been glued to it all day! And he isn't even 10! Was he ever excited! And I LOVE it!

Wednesday, December 9, 2009. Cody is doing really well in Charter School. He has made friends (almost from the first day) and likes his teacher. We have discovered we did not do as well at keeping him up on math as we could have, but he is doing awesome in everything else! He has also found a deep passion for reading and gets lost in books for hours. *GRIN* just like his mom! Any way. We are getting back into the swing of school all day and it just being Caleb and I at home. December 13, 2009 at 6:22 PM.

Wednesday, August 26, 2009. Well the kids have been in school for a week. In that week Bubba and I have re-organized the office/homeschool room, did some online searches, got him on the waiting list for k12 and signed him up for Time 4 Learning. He has played on that everyday - Science, Math, Language, Spelling, Social Studies etc! They have Units and he has been doing one unit in each subject everyday. He LOVES it! I get all these fancy reports on how he is doing too! I just enjoy him so much! Office or...

Wednesday, February 25, 2009. Home School Zoo Day. Cody made up a list of all the animals he thought he might see and put a line for how long they live and where they come from. He worked on it throughout the whole zoo and only missed about 7 animals on his 3 page list! Lubby liked the elephants. as did Bubba - they are his FAVORITE! The ever-peeing rhino was a memorable attraction. Up close and personal! The black bears were not hibernating as we thought they may be! Petting a turtle in "Grandma's House".
