http://starworksgarden.blogspot.com/2012/03/it-is-bloom-time.html
Monday, March 12, 2012. It is bloom time. Plum is in full bloom. Peach is following close by and pear is chasing both. Look closely. Who do you see on this picture? I've identified those as Harlequin bugs. Stinky, ferocious, un-relentless buggers. They usually show up sometime in June. Well It is NOT JUNE! But those guys were on my overwintered Arugula, having. A party. Squashed them all. It is only a glimpse of what awaits us this summer. March 12, 2012 at 12:13 PM. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom).

All the seeds have germinated and the sunflowers and zinnias are growing well! Same go...

Tuesday, October 19, 2010. First Annual STARworks Glass Pumpkin Patch - a success! The last Saturday's early morning sunlight really brought the glass pumpkins, that Nick. And his helpers had made - to life. I couldn't stop taking pictures! Here are some of my favorites. As we set everything up, I wondered, how many people would come out to Star, on their Saturday morning, to splurge on Halloween and Thanksgiving decorations. Even if they were enticing. It's lucky no fights broke out:). Links to this post.

Tuesday, July 19, 2011. Salad greens were short lived this spring, while carrots and beets grew beautifully. RIght now it's the time for cucumbers - I like to trellis them up on like that:. The sunflowers, planted by first graders, have grown so tall! Harvested some gigantic one-clove garlic this year! I wish I could dedicate a big plot to garlic only - it's so rewarding to pull them out in June - and use them all year round! But here are the pretty Red Pontiac potatoes. The grape vine is full of fruit!
