UWP Blog: Follow up to comments on mobility
http://colleenssummerclasswriting.blogspot.com/2008/07/follow-up-to-comments-on-mobility.html
Friday, July 11, 2008. Follow up to comments on mobility. As to the involvement of technology in this physical. Mobility, and its resulting lack of purity, if you will, I think of a similar example in my own family. One of my cousins is currently pregnant, and is insisting that she deliver her little son at home, without any drugs. The woman is insane. I asked her, "Would you wash your clothes in the river? I take your point entirely that "nothing compares to real human contact"—but I wonder what t...

Or were you talking about Freud's? Chris, I'll have to look at "Waking Life." I like the title, that counts for something, right? July 27, 2008 at 10:49 PM. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). UWP Blog: June 2010
http://colleenssummerclasswriting.blogspot.com/2010_06_01_archive.html
Wednesday, June 16, 2010. Let's try this again. I haven't blogged in so long, and I've been saying for months that I would start again, so here goes. Living in the South should provide a host of entertaining stories to entertain ya'll (see, I'm learning so fast, haha). I'll start with a list of funny words that I've noticed since we moved here. People actually say this, even people my age! Still can't believe it. Again, actually used! By "normal" people, not just crazy old guys with the corncob pipes.

UWP Blog: Misu Online
http://colleenssummerclasswriting.blogspot.com/2008/07/misu-online.html
Thursday, July 24, 2008. I absolutely love this picture, and I think that it's great that you can see that it's one of our blogs on the screen. My psycho kitty. For short) always walks on my keyboard, often typing messages to my friends when we're chatting online. My best friend and I often joke that our cats get online when we're gone and order stuff off eBay. I think it might be true. I mean, she's obviously into the blog scene, online shopping is just a mouse click. What are you staring at? Of animals...

Wednesday, June 25, 2008. More Thoughts on Welfare. After writing my previous post, I was thinking about the power of words. However, the meaning is not embodied in the word itself, but rather the concept behind the word. According to linguistics, words are (almost always) arbitrary. Therefore, the word itself does not hold any special meaning, but rather connects with a specific idea separate from itself. However, unlike stewardess. The feelings then associated with them simply transferred to the new wo...

PWei's Blog: 2012
http://potsticker88.blogspot.com/2008/07/2012.html
Saturday, July 5, 2008. And how the calendar will end in 2012. Using science, NASA even predicted that there is an increase in the number of sun flares. For 2012, which will cause electrical failures and satellite disruptions. But even if we can learn from history, can avert 2012? I'd never heard this apocalyptic date before, and your photograph is at once interesting, hilarious, and pretty ominous. Why don't you know if you believe this? July 6, 2008 at 3:05 PM. Sorry: "can WE avert". Coming to an End.

PWei's Blog: Mobility or Useless Junk?
http://potsticker88.blogspot.com/2008/07/mobility-or-useless-junk.html
Saturday, July 26, 2008. Mobility or Useless Junk? I take mobility for granted. I definitely agree with Bernie. In the future, I wonder how children are going to take it if they are faced with being immobile. Young children, at the age of 7 already have cell phones. Phone companies have made various types of cell phones just for kids. I also see young children holding iPods and the iTouch. Sorry—that was a long tangent off your phrase "natural abilities" in your last sentence. I really like you...Bio Bre...

PWei's Blog: Thoughts about Children and Stereotyping
http://potsticker88.blogspot.com/2008/07/thoughts-about-children-and.html
Saturday, July 19, 2008. Thoughts about Children and Stereotyping. Discrimination and stereotyping have always been a large problem and I agree with Eddy. With the lack of intelligence. I feel that children are easy targets because they can be veered or tricked into thinking a certain way just by what they have been told and seen. Recently I found out that some Disney movies have subliminal messages. Or zooming out a little more, what media forms are present throughout a 'personal' computer platform?
