This information will focus on the Series 2 (S2) chassis, in particular the Federal version. The S1 chassis was never officially offered in North America so not as much experience is available here then in Europe. The Elise/Exige (111 chassis) is configured with a transverse drivetrain. On the bottom is attachment points for the suspension arms. The main thing to notice here is the chassis is flanged right down the middle. So that the two halves butt up and are bolted together. There is a bolt at the top.
