The Vagenda: Dear Daily Mail: I Thought I Was The Face of Binge Drinking, but Appaza Not
http://vagendamag.blogspot.com/2013/09/dear-daily-mail-i-thought-i-was-face-of.html
Dear Daily Mail: I Thought I Was The Face of Binge Drinking, but Appaza Not. Dear Daily Mail,. I had never before thought about the effect alcohol had on my face mainly because I was too drunk to realise I had a face but now that I know booze affects my looks, I'll be certain to cut down on the sherry I treat myself to after dusting the ornaments in my attic. Should I tell her grandchildren that this rampant boozing is likely to give her a fat face, as your article suggests? I have handed both these arti...

International Women's Day Q&A. So, you may have grasped that it’s International Women’s Day today. And some people - hell, they just aren’t down with it. They’ve got some questions that need answering, ASAP, before their brains implode with the possibility of 24 hours dedicated to celebrating the achievements of The Vagina Crew (I came up with a new name for us, girls. Adoption is not compulsory.). Or you could just share it online like everybody else. Whatever. Why isn’t there an International Men’s Day?

Jun 9, 2012. New York, New York. The city that never sleeps. the city that's always movin' and groovin'. the city that is so bloody tall it literally makes your head spin (yeah that's right, I was hit with a bad case of vertigo).the city that has so much to offer you don't know where to start or finish. Here's a account of our (sister, uncle and I) best attempt at conquering New York Citayyy in 5 days:. Strolling down the Highline. Walking across Brooklyn Bridge - it is a looooong schlep (but beautiful).
A Sprinkle of Sarah: Sex tips from the 19th Century
http://asprinkleofsarah.blogspot.com/2012/01/sex-tips-from-19th-century.html
Jan 19, 2012. Sex tips from the 19th Century. As a liberal feminist. I believe sex is such a fundamental part of any relationship and you must work to keep your sex life 'alive' as much as you can. Recently, there was an article in the Guardian about 'Sex and the over 60s'. And people interviewed testified that having a healthy sex life at an older age meant that they were healthier and that their relationships were healthier. A good wife should expect to have reduced sexual conducts to once a week by th...

Monday, February 6, 2012. Some Paris vintage shops. I didn't take as many pictures as I anticipated, but I do have some recommendations for you. First up: vintage shops. Paris is the very best city for vintage. You'll find everything: cheap piles of clothes, mid range vintage, consignment stores selling recent second hand from the more costly French brands, vintage paradises stocked with mignon. Hats and purses and a few high end am-I-allowed-to-touch-this? The first was Chez Mamie. Next to Mamie is Mami...

Thursday, December 15, 2011. Which fictional customer would you be? I put my knowledge of Word flowcharts (pretty non-existent, I have to admit) to good use today and made one of those magazine style personality quizzes. Kind of fun to do, actually. Who doesn't love a good stereotype? So there you go: which one of these fictional character's style of dealing with shop personnel resembles yours? Disclaimer: this is in no way to be taken seriously.). Whoa Emily Gilmore is assertiveness on speed. You kn...

Wednesday, November 30, 2011. Modo sales and a bracelet obsession. I'm writing this post a day late and a dollar short (quite literally). I went to the Modo Sales. Two weeks ago, but couldn't write about them since I was about to embark on my trip to Venice. The event takes place twice a year though, so I think it's worthwile sharing anyway. The Modo Sales are an initiative by Modo Brussels. The organisation behind Modo Parcours (which I wrote about here. She has a webshop too, so eat your heart out!

Thursday, January 5, 2012. When I was a teenager, I passed by Icon. On a daily basis, and yet it couldn't have been more removed from my own small sartorial world. (From 12 to 16 I bought H&M and a few fugly second hand finds, that was about it. Oh, and Brantano shoes. Seen from the inside. The name of the artist was on their (frequenty updated) facebook page. But now I can't seem to find it. I have a weak spot for light design - instant love for the lamps on the right. The art and attention for detail i...

Packing things up…. Slithers out from under your bed]. Months have gone by since the last update, but I promise the neglect is unwillingly intentional. To say I’ve been busy is an understatement. It’s been a tornado storm of various Stuff ‘n Things—not all necessarily bad, however! 8212;but not a moment’s pause inbetween. To start, I’m in the early stages of moving. Continue reading →.
