Simple reviews of the cafes, bars and pubs of Valencia. This is a rock bar but it has a relaxed atmosphere and the music is played at a good volume (you can still have a conversation). The interior is lined with rock memorabilia (posters and the like). It is always really busy and it generally attracts a young clientèle… and the odd rocker… of course. I spend part of my month living in Valencia and whilst I am there I like to sample different bars, cafes and pubs (as well as restaurants and sometimes night clubs). I live in the Ayora neighbourhood which is full of classic Spanish style bars that generally serve strong coffee, cheep beer and relatively good food…. but tend to look the same and are a bit boring. Simple reviews of the cafes, bars and pubs of Valencia. Benimaclet used to be a separate village in its own right but has now been swallowed up by the rest of Valencia. This area has some of the more interesting bars and restaurants in the city and is big enough to spend a day/night wondering around. The area is quite eclectic and multicultural, a lot of students live here as well as bohemian people (there are also a bunch of old people who complain about the noise – classic Spain).

Simple reviews of the cafes, bars and pubs of Valencia. Cabanyal is generally very beautiful, made up of old fisherman houses and more modern apartment blocks, it’s situated near the port and the beach. Mr Word on the Street tells me that successful Valencian governments have tried (and so far failed) to build large avenues through the heart of this historic area. To the ignorant foreigner this makes no sense as Cabanyal appears to be of historical, cultural and architectural importance.
