I now have my own domain name and a "proper" homepage, so I'll be moving this blog over to that domain as soon as I've finished tweaking the template for the new one. You might as well subscribe to those now.

Tuesday, June 29, 2004. She says yes, she says no. She says yes again.after Sunday, H has decided maybe she does want to take things further after all. We're keeping things fairly casual, but we are going to keep trying to get to know each other. All sounds good to me. No study, so spent last evening playing Civ3 (I still suck) and tonight am heading down to the quiz as soon as I finish typing this. Today, we win. Perhaps. Para; 5:12 PM. Sunday, June 27, 2004. OK, maybe just stand there a little. Sunday ...

Friday, October 24, 2003. Movies, and the quiet librarians strike again. I've managed to have a relatively social week. Monday I went to two separate movies - one an Iranian film at the Film Society, and the other 28 Days later with Drake. A competent horror, quite interesting visually, even if the ending seemed a bit lame. Tuesday was another non-date with Rachel (date? Friday night is for sleeping, but Saturday is for the Lions. (A home final! Para; 12:59 PM. Tuesday, October 21, 2003. In the last seco...

Thursday, January 06, 2005. Too much rain, too little money. So I sit inside for another day. I do attempt to do a little study, so I guess I can feel virtuous about that. Got a meeting with my thesis supervisor tomorrow which should be interesting. It's our first meeting, even though the first part of the thesis is due in 10 days. That's more my fault than anyone else's, I didn't make contact with her till just before Christmas. Para; 9:56 PM. Tuesday, January 04, 2005. Oh, the match? Para; 11:22 PM.

Tuesday, May 24, 2005. Saturday night: All about the FA Cup. Home at 5am and stayed in bed till around 1pm. Should really try to do some schoolwork. Para; 10:32 PM. 20th May 2005: "marijuana is rarely injected". I have to stop my research project soon - it is making me stupider. (Is 'stupider' even a word? You see what I mean? Today's readings: a DARE workbook. It contains such lines as 'marijuana is rarely injected'. Signs that your child might be a polypill user include "magical interest or belief".

Saturday, November 29, 2003. The stupid things we do. And I've turned down two other invitations for tonight so I could go to these drinks instead. I, officially, suck ;-). And my neck is sunburnt from sitting on my deck today, the first sunny day we've had this summer. Para; 10:28 PM. Tuesday, November 25, 2003. No images. And feeling low, and stuff. Para; 8:04 PM. Monday, November 24, 2003. Emails from random American girls. OK Not quite random ;-). Para; 1:01 PM. This is the beast: Kodak CX6230. I can...

Monday, December 08, 2003. Para; 5:46 PM. Well it seems as though this light. Will never turn green. Been driving for a while. Can't tell you where I've been. I've got nothing on my mind. I've got nothing to do. I'm just driving around, listening to 'Nebraska'. Well my girl she told me last night. I'm not the one. And half my heart was ripped out. But I still got some. And if this light should stay red. I’ll be sitting here listening to 'Nebraska'. The Cash Brothers - 'Nebraska'. Para; 12:25 PM.

Friday, May 28, 2004. 06-05-2004 12:49: And now, we get on better (SIBS #4). So the last few days at Cory's place were interesting. She was working an incredible number of hours (125 in 12 days, no days off) while I was there. She would get up for work around 7 or 8am, and get back after 1am - I'd often be back in bed by then. I really don't know how she did it - the girl has my respect. It was great. The whole Friday and Saturday we spent together we got on really well, in all sorts of circumstances...

Friday, April 16, 2004. Now: Going to New Mexico. In about three hours, I'm on the plane. Wish me luck. I've just realised that the next few weeks are going to define the course of my life, one way or another. Not that I'm placing any pressure on myself, or anything. Para; 4:28 PM. Personal blog for miscellaneous rantings, to keep the trivial stuff out of my serious blog. Which is all about library and information science "stuff". Check my profile. For more about me. Eat, pray, love, read and learn. Monday, October 18, 2010. Did you find any good examples of other library blogs? I must say, there are really good library blogs – very clever people! I have found a link to library blogs. Http:/ www.libdex.com/weblogs.html. I thought that the Okavango Research Institute (ORI) Library’s blog was really nice and informative. Tuesday, September 30, 2003. I'm trying to wean myself off the internet. Specifically off Bluelight. I've come to realise what some of the other regulars already have - that, while it's a fascinating place, in the end it limits your social interaction with real people. Keep hoping against hope? At the moment that looks like the only game in town. Para; 7:43 PM. Monday, September 29, 2003. But my point is: how do I know? I have no way of determining the reality of the world around me. I'm just going t...
