Tattoo Shop Confessions: December 2014
http://valkyrietattooshopconfessions.blogspot.com/2014_12_01_archive.html
A victorious onslaught of tattoo tragedy and triumph. Tuesday, December 30, 2014. Here is another round of coverups that I recently have done. I definetly do my share of covering up existing work that is either old, poorly executed and plain old unwanted. I have heard many reasons why. I usually don't ask questions. She sat like a champion too. Labels: black and grey tattoos. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). Http:/ www.valkyrietattoo.com. Emily drew a heart. Doing what I do. Promote Your Page Too.

Tattoo Shop Confessions: March 2015
http://valkyrietattooshopconfessions.blogspot.com/2015_03_01_archive.html
A victorious onslaught of tattoo tragedy and triumph. Monday, March 16, 2015. Media- influence and inspiration. I like to check out what's happening on Pinterest.I often use Google images, interest and instagram for visual aids. Maybe it is me and my shop but it is nice that people are not asking for the same old thing over and over. A big purpose back in the day for collecting tattoos was to stand out from all others- have some individualization. Now, to blend in with the crowd- get a tattoo? Then towar...

Tattoo Shop Confessions: The white tattoo
http://valkyrietattooshopconfessions.blogspot.com/2013/06/the-white-tattoo.html
A victorious onslaught of tattoo tragedy and triumph. Saturday, June 1, 2013. When people contact me about doing an all white tattoo, I have this spiel I go into about white- the pros and cons if you will. So here's the deal on white. I first say white is normally used as highlights on a colored tattoo, it stands out more against other colors.White is different on everyone. White tends to turn yellow or even brownish in the skin once healed. It often looks like a scar. (scarification). Emily drew a heart.

Tattoo Shop Confessions: May 2015
http://valkyrietattooshopconfessions.blogspot.com/2015_05_01_archive.html
A victorious onslaught of tattoo tragedy and triumph. Thursday, May 21, 2015. I try to draw as much flash as I can through out my career and have years where I don't even have a full set- which is usually 4-6 pages. Here is some samples through the years where I have experimented, taught myself techniques, and just hoped that someone would want to get one of my pieces. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). Tattoo Shop Confessions: Flower power
http://valkyrietattooshopconfessions.blogspot.com/2014/07/flower-power.html
A victorious onslaught of tattoo tragedy and triumph. Wednesday, July 2, 2014. A staple in tattooing is being able to properly execute flowers. As long as I have been tattooing I have been asked to do flowers for people.I have been practicing them steadily for the past 15 years and each time I have the chance to do them I try to make them better than the last. The most popular type of Calla Lily is white. White has a hard time showing up on the skin, it is known to yellow, so here I have gone from a ...

Tattoo Shop Confessions: September 2014
http://valkyrietattooshopconfessions.blogspot.com/2014_09_01_archive.html
A victorious onslaught of tattoo tragedy and triumph. Monday, September 15, 2014. Been rolling right along at the shop- me and Jessie ventured off to a tattoo convention last weekend. It was in Roseville by Sacramento. It was hot during the day, warm at night- almost a full moon over the bands that played by the beer garden on the fair grounds (which was right next to a jail). Interesting, I know. Got my knuckles done finally. Labels: city of Roses. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). Emily drew a heart.

Tattoo Shop Confessions: Beauty is in the eye of the beholder
http://valkyrietattooshopconfessions.blogspot.com/2012/04/beauty-is-in-eye-of-beholder.html
A victorious onslaught of tattoo tragedy and triumph. Monday, April 2, 2012. Beauty is in the eye of the beholder. Beauty is in the eye of the beholder, but…. Let’s examine this for a tattoo. I am just frustrated because so many people are coming into the shop that got tattooed at other local shops close to our area (I am not naming anyone) and their tattoos are terrible! They come to me to have it fixed! This piece when finished wouldn't. Lines - the shading would. Clean up any discrepancies.
