A Big, Juicy Van: The Cold War
http://abigjuicyvan.blogspot.com/2013/06/the-cold-war.html
A Big, Juicy Van. Saturday, June 15, 2013. Well, I went on another trip to watch soccer, and boy is there a lot to tell. Like why I am wearing this unicorn hat, for example. Everything in its due time. Snow And lots of it. I'll drop pictures throughout the description. Landing in Denver provided us with the trip's second wrinkle-a rude weather awakening. It was much colder than we had expected! The trip's third wrinkle? Allowed the hotel to overbook their rooms. It was all technological Greek to me&#...

Wednesday, May 29, 2013. Evan blessed Daisy in church on May 5th. It was a beautiful day to bless a beautiful baby! She ended up crying through her entire blessing. Haha. I did too. Evan's mom was in town from Arizona and Evan's grandparents and aunt and uncle were kind enough to drive from upstate New York to join us. We had a nice Cafe Rio style lunch for Cinco de Mayo after church too. Now here is a picture dump:. Wednesday, May 22, 2013. Whatever happened to buying a house? Subscribe to: Posts (Atom).

Selin: April 2013

Thursday, April 25, 2013. Calvin is potty trained. He doesn't even wear diapers at night and he has never wet the bed (knock on wood). But during his nap (which usually isn't a nap, rather a play alone in his room time) I make him wear a diaper. And then I lock him in his room. Mean? Maybe Detrimental, to his potty training development? Possibly. But it is totally worth it. Today I got a nap! I'll probably have to pay for it by changing a very stinky diaper, but totally worth it! We found a house. So on ...

Tuesday, June 11, 2013. Our perfect little baby is four months old today! Has it really been that long? We love her so much! She is so good at smiling, growing her hair,. Rolling across the floor, putting her toys in her mouth, and being adorable. Even Calvin has started taking an interest in her and occasionally asks to hold her or lays on the floor and talks to her. Monday, January 28, 2013. Calvin has a really hard time holding still during prayers. In fact, he is more wiggly during prayers than almost any other time. Tonight during family home evening he got in trouble for not being reverent and had to practice holding still for 10 seconds in a row.It was really hard for him, but eventually he got it. Monday, January 21, 2013. To celebrate our baby being full term (37 weeks) today, we are having a contest. Before Calvin was born we had a contest on our blog. Saver...

Monday, November 11, 2013. Two blog posts in one day? Tonight for family home evening we decided to have a lesson on being nice to Daisy since Calvin has been mean to Daisy on several occasions over the past few weeks. We started out the lesson by talking about what a family is and why we should be nice to our family. Then we talked about how Calvin feels when kids are nice to him at the playground. He told us he is happy when kids play tag and when his friend James plays pirates with him. When I put her...

Selin: Daisy at 9 months
http://superselins.blogspot.com/2013/11/daisy-at-9-months.html
Monday, November 11, 2013. Daisy at 9 months. Daisy is a girl who knows what she wants and works hard to make sure she gets it. She learned to roll over before she was four months old by trying it out one day and then practicing it at least a hundred more times that day. When I put her in her bed on her back, she always immediately rolls to her stomach as fast as she can, tucks her arms under her, and sticks her bum in the air. Every single time. She is so cute! Sam used to love laying down in the bath a...

Wednesday, March 12, 2014. How to eat a peanut butter and jelly sandwich, by Daisy. Step 1: Pull your sandwich apart so that it is now two pieces of sticky bread. Step 2: Try to pick all the peanut butter and jelly off with your fingers. When that doesn't work, shove the middle of the bread into your mouth. Step 3: Take a break to tell your mom something. Step 4: Continue eating the sticky bread, working from the center to the crust. Step 5: Bite your finger. Then cry. Step 6: Keep crying.
