Blonde in Hong Kong: Christmas time, Hong Kong style
http://blondeinhongkong.blogspot.com/2011/01/christmas-time-hong-kong-style.html
Blonde in Hong Kong. Sunday, January 16, 2011. Christmas time, Hong Kong style. Christmas in Hong Kong was an interesting affair. I wasn't quite sure what to expect - so you can imagine my relief when I saw Christmas trees and decorations, and heard tacky Christmas songs everywhere I went! Nevertheless I was determined to make Christmas as Christmassy as Christmas should be! A fellow Aussie from uni, my good friend Amelia, stayed with us for a few days before she jetted off to Vietnam. 65279; . We spent...
Blonde in Hong Kong: Back to school...'O' Week and beyond
http://blondeinhongkong.blogspot.com/2011/01/back-to-schoolo-week-and-beyond.html
Blonde in Hong Kong. Monday, January 17, 2011. Back to school.'O' Week and beyond. As I begin my second semester of uni in Hong Kong I participated in 'O' Week once again. It is an orientation week involving a gruelling schedule of official events such as welcome lunches, school tours and talks from the Hong Kong Police (whose sole purpose to speak to the exchange students about the dangers of intoxication). Hiking up to The Peak.we got separated from the group and were totally lost. Sunset on the island.
Blonde in Hong Kong: February 2011
http://blondeinhongkong.blogspot.com/2011_02_01_archive.html
Blonde in Hong Kong. Thursday, February 3, 2011. An HK Australia Day. While there was a distinct lack of sun, beach and sausage sangas, we still had a pretty good Australia Day last week. There were food stations throughout the room serving yummy Australian produce with an Asian twist. Sev ate his body weight in abalone, while my fave was the dessert buffet (complete with mini pavs and macadamia slice! Each station was manned by the Hyatt chefs cooking everything to order. Blonde in Hong Kong: Markets by moonlight
http://blondeinhongkong.blogspot.com/2010/09/markets-by-moonlight.html
Blonde in Hong Kong. Saturday, September 25, 2010. There seem to be markets at every turn in Hong Kong. From the Ladies Market in Mong Kok to the Cat Street Market on Hollywood Road, the Jade Market at Yau Ma Tei and the Western Market in Sheung Wan (to name a few). My favourite thing to do at these markets is pull up a stool at one of the many fresh seafood 'canteens', order too much food, drink local beer and soak up the atmosphere. Blonde in Hong Kong: November 2010
http://blondeinhongkong.blogspot.com/2010_11_01_archive.html
Blonde in Hong Kong. Friday, November 12, 2010. A stint in China wouldn't quite be complete without a collection of the hilarious, misguided, and sometimes downright bizarre examples of English language faux pas. Nearly every day I see something that makes me giggle to myself, it makes life very entertaining! Engrish highlights so far include:. A popular range of clothing from chain store Giordano stating 'You say hi, I say wow! Meeting a man named Human Lung. No joke. 65279; . Or the Roasted Dick Leg?
Blonde in Hong Kong: On my way to the station...
http://blondeinhongkong.blogspot.com/2010/10/on-my-way-to-station.html
Blonde in Hong Kong. Sunday, October 10, 2010. On my way to the station. I love walking to Mong Kok station, because it really feels like I'm in Hong Kong! It's the most populated area in the world, and there are some interesting sights (and smells! As you wander through the busy streets. Just watch out for the ruthless old ladies and their shopping carts. The crowds I deal with every day! Street food) - this place smells so bad! I try not to think about what they're cooking. Dim sum on the street.
