Mt. Begbie Brewing – Bob’s your Dunkel | What Chris Drinks
https://whatchrisdrinks.wordpress.com/2011/01/21/mt-begbie-brewing-bobs-your-dunkel
Beer, Mostly from BC. Mt Begbie Brewing – Bob’s your Dunkel. An 8% Strong Ale. Murky brown colour. Smells of Banana. Great brown ale flavour. A nice sweetness and a chocolate flavour. I would recommend this for winter drinking. Share on Facebook (Opens in new window). Click to share on Reddit (Opens in new window). Click to share on Twitter (Opens in new window). Driftwood – Eponymous Ale | What Chris Drinks
https://whatchrisdrinks.wordpress.com/2011/01/16/driftwood-eponymous-ale
Beer, Mostly from BC. Driftwood – Eponymous Ale. Light copper colour that is quite deceiving. This beer is hiding an IPA hop punch. The lighter malt presents the hop as the main flavour. A rich soap and pine hop jump out and finish with a bite. A must try for hopheads. Share on Facebook (Opens in new window). Click to share on Reddit (Opens in new window). Deschutes – “Red Chair” Hoppy North West Pale Ale | What Chris Drinks
https://whatchrisdrinks.wordpress.com/2011/01/22/deschutes-red-chair-hoppy-north-west-pale-ale
Beer, Mostly from BC. Deschutes – “Red Chair” Hoppy North West Pale Ale. Deschutes isn’t one of my favorite breweries, but this beer is a cut above. Fit of the name IPA this northwest style ale is what I love about the beer in this region. Like drinking a pine forest, this beer leaves its mark. A medium malt pushes the hops to the front of the beer making intense and delicious. Try it. Share on Facebook (Opens in new window). Click to share on Reddit (Opens in new window). January 22, 2011. Iain (of Yaletown) – “Oud Brun” 30% Oak Aged Sour Brown | What Chris Drinks
https://whatchrisdrinks.wordpress.com/2011/01/22/iain-of-yaletown-oud-brun-30-oak-aged-sour-brown
Beer, Mostly from BC. Iain (of Yaletown) – “Oud Brun” 30% Oak Aged Sour Brown. I have had this beer a few times, but not the oak aged version. The sour taste is quite prevalent throughout the beer. Good malt on a darker than normal brown. Certainly a unique ale. This is worth a sip or two if you get the chance. Share on Facebook (Opens in new window). R&B – Red Devil Pale Ale | What Chris Drinks
https://whatchrisdrinks.wordpress.com/2011/01/31/rb-red-devil-pale-ale
Beer, Mostly from BC. R&B – Red Devil Pale Ale. R&B is a great Vancouver brewery. You can find there stuff on tap all over town. This pale is a very nice copper red colour. It smells slightly spicy with a bit of pine. A nicely hopped pale that is well balanced with the malt. The taste has a nice spice with some lemon. Piney hop that leaves some flavour as it finishes. Overall an excellent pale that is hopper than some IPAs that I have tried. A great session beer as well. January 31, 2011. Brewdog –...

https://whatchrisdrinks.wordpress.com/2011/01/14/russell-blood-alley-esb
Beer, Mostly from BC. Russell – Blood Alley ESB. A 55%, 50 IBU entry from Russell. A golden colour on pour with low carbonation. A nice bitter flavour with hints of citrus and soap. Crisp malt. Lighthouse – Doppelbock | What Chris Drinks

Beer, Mostly from BC. Lighthouse – Doppelbock. This beer is made by one of my favorite breweries. A strong ale at 8.5%. Dark colour but still see through. Light carbonation. Amazing flavour. Heavy malt with a great hop profile. Distinctive Rye flavour with a nice sweetness. An excellent balance. I would defiantly recommend trying this beer. Share on Facebook (Opens in new window). https://whatchrisdrinks.wordpress.com/2011/01/23/granville-island-scottish-ale
Beer, Mostly from BC. Granville Island – Scottish Ale. A new seasonal from one of the bigger micro brews in Vancouver. This ale is quite nice. Bigger hop profile than I would expect from this style of ale. Nice scotch malt that balances quite well with the hops. Share on Facebook (Opens in new window).
