Life with the Van Wyngardens. Sunday, June 8, 2014. We spent nearly a week in Iowa at Doug's parents over Memorial Day weekend. We had a wonderful time! The kids did great and loved all the attention from Grandma, Grandpa, and Aunt Lynn. We were spoiled with tons of good food, free babysitting, and beautiful weather. Hunting for snapping turtles. Life with the Van Wyngardens. Wednesday, September 25, 2013. On Labor Day we spent the morning at the Little Red Schoolhouse with some friends. For once I remembered to take my camera along AND I remembered to use it :). Tuesday, September 17, 2013. We might fight over who gets to hold the remote, but we definitely agree on who the best football team is :). Friday, September 13, 2013. I finally graduated and spent a lot of time studying for boards. Doug had a birthday. We had play dates. I Still Have Hope.

Life with the Van Wyngardens. Friday, February 22, 2013. We celebrated year one with a party on Feburary 9th. After much debate, Doug and I decided to host it in our church fellowship hall. We had a pizza lunch with family and close friends. Life with the Van Wyngardens. Wednesday, January 30, 2013. Because we are celebrating Rowan and Norah's 1st birthday with a party in a few weeks, we really didn't do too much for their actual birthday. It was cold and snowy, and I had clinical the following two days, so we kept it a low-key, stay-at-home kind of day. Here is some of the fun we had. Helping me make sugar-free birthday cupcakes the day before.which ended up being a flop as you'll soon see. Daddy came home for lunch! Fun in the dishwasher.

Life with the Van Wyngardens. Sunday, May 19, 2013. We took the kids in a couple of weeks ago for their 15 month check up. Norah woke up that day with a 102 fever so it was a good day to visit the pediatrician. He tested her for strep which was thankfully negative. It turned out to be an upper respiratory infection which she passed on to Rowan and Doug :(. Was 23lbs and 2ft 8inches. Not talking a lot, but our doctor wasn't too concerned yet; he does intentionally say mama, dada, and occasionally bye-bye.

Life with the Van Wyngardens. Saturday, June 7, 2014. Doug and I went on a date to Trinity's spring play. We brought Doug an afternoon snack and explored the chapel. SO many chairs to try out! Trinity had a petting zoo on campus. Rowan was not interested after a goat jumped on me while I was holding him.the goat really wanted my coffee :) . And we must always get in a little piano practice when we visit Trinity. This little boy found a new love for peanut butter. It was Mother's Day! I Still Have Hope.

Life with the Van Wyngardens. Wednesday, August 28, 2013. Actually, at this point it is 19 months. I can't believe summer is just about over.I feel like it just started. We've kept busy and I will post pictures soon of what we've been up to. We tried a couple of times to get some decent photos of these two at 18 months, but had no luck. They never stop moving! A few things about Rowan:. He was 25lbs 2oz; 33 inches (2ft 9inches) at his 18 month check up. His favorites are pickles, goldfish, and most fruits.
