Ad Lad's Pad. Just another WordPress.com weblog. What my words said buy. Where my fiction lives. It’s a happy holiday for Ad Lad. Think before you drink. September 19, 2009. Holiday over, and to kick start my return a little something to think about for any creatives who milk their muse for bottled water companies. AN INCREDIBLE RIP OFF. And, until last year, was growing by approx 7% per annually. A new documentary about the industry. It turns out that not only is bottled water a marketing con, it’...

The Journey Home....: September 2011
http://swerdnic.blogspot.com/2011_09_01_archive.html
Sunday, 25 September 2011. 8216;I have gone at dusk through narrow streets. And watched the smoke that rises from the pipes. Of lonely men’. They lean, quietly puffing,. On walls and fences. Sporting pac-a-macs and flat caps. I've seen the smoke that rises,. Skims along the street on the light breeze. It chokes and burns the throat. Of the young girl at the bus stop. But the opaque clouds. Hang and glide through the air. And congregate outside the church. In an Amberleaf- Drum protest march. When the fab...

Our Adventures: March 2012
http://coraandcw.blogspot.com/2012_03_01_archive.html
Saturday, March 17, 2012. A Week on the Isle of Skye. Skye, an island just off the west coast of Scotland, is home to several large peninsulas, striking mountains and gravity defying sea cliffs. It also has many tiny little fishing ports, hairy cows, curious sheep and its own award winning distillery. It is sparse and mystical and has quickly become our favourite place in Britain. The light casts different colours on the far-reaching landscapes and the beauty of the island starts to take hold and make an...

Our Adventures: January 2013
http://coraandcw.blogspot.com/2013_01_01_archive.html
Saturday, January 05, 2013. Afternoon Tea in London. Afternoon Tea is one of those quintessential British activities and though we have done it in Devon and the Cotswolds, we haven't had High Tea in a posh London hotel. We didn't want to go to a big place like the Ritz or Dorchester, so instead we found a small out of the way hotel in Knightsbridge, so still plenty posh! The Egerton House Hotel. All in all we had an very relaxed three and a half hours enjoying how the other half, or 1%, live! The Christm...
