He has had a wonderful time, growing in so many ways this year. On of his favorite school activities has been the Morning Mile, where the kids get to walk or jog before school starts. I had fun and really enjoyed some of the talks and catching up with friends and colleagues, but being without the boys for that long was not so much fun. I did get out of the conference ghost town one afternoon and made it to the botanical gardens. There were glass art displays throughout the gardens, which just made it that much more beautiful. It's pretty easy to make and store for future use, so feel free to double or triple this recipe. The amount of cayenne pepper listed below yield a very spicy berbere, so much so that Han and E couldn't eat the stew I made with it! 1 teaspoon ground ginger. 1/2 teaspoon ground coriander. 1/2 teaspoon ground cardamon. 1/2 teaspoon fenugreek seeds. 1/2 teaspoon grated nutmeg. 1/4 teaspoon ground cloves.
