Monday, 12 April 2010. With our shakedown run to Bodmin. Getting closer, now seems like a good time to start working on the list of jobs that are still left to do! A good vacuum of the interior was first order of the day, making sure nothing was missed. Was filled with water, and Puriclean. Powder added to clean the fresh water system and pipes, this was left in for 24 hours to do its stuff. Grease was added to the brake override. System with a grease gun. But eventually it appeared! We made the decision to sell our beloved static caravan towards the end of last year and the compromise was to purchase a very old second hand caravan that would see us through the next few years of holidays. On the 29 th. November we took ownership of a little 1993 Avondale. You ask yourselves. well that's down to my barmy wife and her varacan. Memories of her childhood - needless to say she could not say caravan at the time, and the name stuck! Until my next post. Paul.

Monday, 3 May 2010. While Jo was at work this morning, and as I don't work on Bank Holidays, I decided to see if I could get the replacement aerial for the TV, after yesterdays disaster. I had success at the local caravan accessories dealership, and fitted it to the jockey wheel on the front of the van to test it out. I found the signal using my new aerial meter signal finder, and . Not bad considering this is the TV from our bedroom, which will be accompanying us on our various trips away in the varacan.

Having had to fight our way through the mums in their 4x4's who were picking their kids up from the school on the road that approached the yard, we made a conscious. Saturday, 4 May 2013. It’s a glorious start to the Bank Holiday weekend, and a little trip to Tehidy is in order, as I believed that the bluebells were blooming. We headed off to Cot Road entrance only to find that the car park was chokka block full, so a quick redirection took us to the overflow car park/field at the North Cliffs entrance.
