Many of the developers of renewable sites seem to regard details of their hardware to be commercially sensitive. Requests for the information usually goes unanswered and their websites are devoid of information. The information available on this site comes from many sources and is correct to the best of my knowledge, but if you know better please get in touch and help me update it!

While this site mainly looks at the performance of installed renewable generation stations, it's also interesting to look at where renewable generation is headed. This can be done by using the DECC Planning data that is released on a monthly basis. The planning data contains information for 6,361 past, present or future stations. Projects that have been granted permission. For information on the data sources used on this website, see /data/sources/.

To try and address this I have added the named regions shown below. Hopefully they will be of help to those who have asked! This seems like a good idea, but having no experience with such files I thought maybe I should have an app to test them with. I was pointed at QGis but it needed to be added to the sources list for Ubuntu 13.10. This is how I did it. I created a file /etc/apt/sources.list.d/qgis.list with the contents.
