http://blessythomas.blogspot.com/2012_10_07_archive.html
Wednesday, 10 October 2012. And let us get reacquainted with. Yes, back after donkeys years and so thrilled to be making my presence felt by actually posting something - rather than drafting and shutting down :-(. Today, as the day dawned I felt all nostalgic and began craving for Arabic food. Too bad nothing credible around in Goa. So after a refrigerator-raid. Baba Ghanoush it was. So here it is. The humble yet awesomely flavourful Arabic salsa ;-). Tried, tested and posted by. Links to this post.

Wednesday, 9 April 2008. Tiring days, lovely recipes. I am champion of the ‘Cooking as therapy’ theory. I believe it and practice it faithfully. But there are these stray days where all theory and philosophy step out of the big wide window and take a long walk. Yesterday was one such day, flesh was failing and spirit lay low. I’ve heard, true character is recognized in the darkest hour…! Like a blessing my husband comes to rescue with a ‘secret’ recipe at hand. He whipped it in a jiffy. Finally, the Swee...

Exotic Kitchen: Paneer & Spinach
http://myexotickitchen.blogspot.com/2009/02/paneer-spinach.html
Tuesday, February 24, 2009. My sauce was a little tart b/c of the lemon in the ready made cumin-chili paste. So I added about a Tbs of brown sugar to remedy the tartness. As you can see from the picture I put all this over plain white rice. In addition, there is fried goat meat and kidney beans, those recipes I will give at a later date. Labels: East African/Indian Dishes. February 27, 2009 at 6:19 PM. I love paneer and the coconut spinach sounds wonderful! Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). Feel free t...

Exotic Kitchen: Oxtails...yummm
http://myexotickitchen.blogspot.com/2009/02/oxtailsyummm.html
Wednesday, February 25, 2009. So this dish comes courtesy of my mother-in-law. It is oxtails. What you’ll need:. Oxtails, 1 tsp curry powder, 1 Tbsp tomato paste, 1 medium onion (chopped), ¼ tsp salt, ¼ tsp pepper, fresh garlic (1-2 cloves minced), 1 tsp lemon juice. The key to great oxtails is making sure you cook them until they are tender and falling off the bone. The meat should essentially melt in your mouth! Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). Friday, 8 February 2008. Think Goa , think Fish. Ahhhh! Fish, yummy fish and when I think of fish in Goa it has to be Recheiado Fish. Infact I can almost get a whiff of that spicy, tangy, piquant masala escaping from the succulent and steamy Pomfret dressed with lemon wedges and cabbage juliennes. You will have to grind the following ingredients to a smooth paste. 10-12 Dried Kashmiri chillies. Half a teaspoon of Cumin (jeera) seeds. Half a teaspoon of turmeric powder. 20 gms of tamarind. Instead of whol...
