Sunday, March 8, 2015. Winter Bike to Work Day as antidote to psychological barrier of riding bikes in inclimate weather. When November came 8 years ago, I just couldn’t get off my bike. Temps were dropping and snow falling, but the thought of parting with my bike for 4 or 5 months was too much to take. I had to start figuring a way to keep riding. It involved lots of trial and error. When you are resolved to do it, you start doing your best to make it happen. The good thing is that other people are ...

I thought of that while riding my bicycle." Albert Einstein, on the theory of relativity. Cyclopath and Breezer Birthday Bike. Every time I discover something new in the world of bicycling, especially things created/invented/manufactured in the Twin Cities, I feel lucky to live in Minneapolis, and want to tell everyone I know. I share my discoveries with others, whether it's new to everyone, or just new to me. Check it out here at: http:/ cyclopath.org/. Don't you have more important things to be doing w...

Clodhopper Rides: September 2013
http://fourquartets.blogspot.com/2013_09_01_archive.html
Thursday, September 12, 2013. Are you afraid of the dark? After a late August and early where I struggled to stay motivated in my training, I feel like I'm back in the groove this week. The humidity is finally starting to ease up, daytime highs are more mild, and the mornings have a lovely crispness to them that I've missed. Any recommendations for riding in traffic in the dark? Dailey Commute: March 2010
http://daileycommute.blogspot.com/2010_03_01_archive.html
Monday, March 29, 2010. I did it- I actually rode to work today and it was great. We got up at six- I wanted to be on the road by 7. The temperature was still cold, but it was time- the temperature was supposed to almost hit 70 this afternoon, so I thought- go for it. As I was finishing my maiden solo journey, the back tire started to wobble. I was three blocks from work and thinking, "What? Were my paniers rubbing the spokes? Why is it wobbling? Hell no- I ran over a pretty good sized piece of nail that...

Friday, September 6, 2013. Levi's: Leaving Women Out of the Equation. We are pleased to have Sara Kelly join us starting today as a contributor to Minneapolize. Levi Strauss and Co. has been pushing their Commuter line. For bikers pretty heavily this year. They even set up a "Commuter Bike Shop" during a concert in Minneapolis with free tune-ups, quick repairs, tailoring, bike valets, and a bike wash. It's a pretty cool campaign. I'm not normally one to complain about things like this, but seriously?
