There's Not a Talbots in Kabul? Wednesday, May 6, 2015. New York, New York. We recently returned from NYC where we toured the 5 boroughs by bicycle. Of the 5 boroughs, Brooklyn was my favorite. Ben has remained neutral by saying he was impressed with the road conditions throughout. Mr Ellis got to see Ellis Island, and I got to have a New York bagel (clearly, we have diverging priorities)! We also undertook a George Washington self-guided walking tour. That's right - Mr. Ellis is on Ellis Island.

There's Not a Talbots in Kabul? Saturday, August 1, 2015. Last month, I got to use my kayak for the first time since returning home. For our kayaking adventure, we launched near the airport and paddled to Roosevelt island. The kayaks were easy to load on the ancient tundra. This is one of my multiple attempts to get the Washington Monument in the. Background my big noggin is obscuring the monument. Ben's kayak is 2' longer, so it's a struggle for me to keep up. If you look closely, you'll see the monument.

There's Not a Talbots in Kabul? Monday, July 13, 2015. Memorial Day weekend, Ben, Julia and I went camping on Virginia's northern neck. (Coincidentally, this was my first official camping trip since returning from Tha Stan.) Ben and I departed for camping right after work on Thursday - we were the best dressed campers in the Commonwealth! Yes - I'm wearing pearls and flip flops! Ben's a busy man about camp. This kitchen is the bane of Ben's existence! Still sold this model! Sunday's Breakfast was superb!
