Point Reyes lighthouse lies about 30 miles north of San Francisco and is part of the Point Reyes national seashore region. The lighthouse was built in 1870. Most of the year, the area is foggy but I was lucky to get a picture on one of the clearer days over there. You will also find an image of the same place that I took back in 2010 which shows it being more foggy.

The hill top is usually covered with fog almost through out the year. The nearest town is Gundlupet (situated 20 KMs away). The usual recommended time to visit the hill is early mornings. I had visited the hill back in 2013 in the morning. There was not much to photograph on that particular day. Here are a few images I took:.

This gives a sense of how big the lake is. Man and nature – a comparison scale. We parked cars on lush green grass fields beside the lake.
